Definition of a DSD athlete (differences in sexual development)

We still have a long way to go with sports development...so any medals won while nice, still does not mean all is well.

Apart from football, sports development in Nigeria is abysmal. Always has been. We have to raise talent, have to raise funding, have to raise expertise. We need more and more and more people playing a variety of sports.

This Olympics is an eye opener for Nigeria and indeed Africa.

For how long have we been saying this? The Olympics will end and Nigerians will forget about it. Another 3 years time, we will start preparing again few months to the event. Look at the Jamaicans and their ISSA secondary school championship. That's why they do well in track and field.
Africa has failed again at this Olympics. South Africa, Ethiopia and Kenya are struggling in areas where they used to do well. Nigeria did not even qualify for football. I don't see any African country winning above 3 gold medals. Again the worst performing continent at the Olympics by a long chalk. We can do better.
