I created this thread to find out if there are people here who have been affected or know someone who has had a gambling addiction: betting, lottery, even forex, and how it affected their lives and those around them.

I've checked online and even Nigerian, I see most attention at rehabilitation being given to alcohol and drug addiction. It's hard to see many targeted at gambling addicts.

As for me, I had fundamental issues with money management; with time I started getting into one or two things in order to make quick money. Along the line, I narrowed down to forex trading. I know some people will come in here to bash me and say there's nothing wrong with forex trading. However, I'm just telling my story.

Over a period of 4 years, I lost millions of Naira and got into debts. Depression, suicidal thoughts and all plagued me. I will stop here for now.

Guys and babes, come in here and share your experience as a gambling addict or as someone who knows someone that has been affected. Does it affect few or many people in our society? What fuels it? In my case, I will say greed and lack of contentment.

I identified greed and lack of contentment as driving forces behind my addiction. I take full responsibility.

Even if spirits were involved, they couldn't have been able to operate if not that they found a loophole in my life and character
