It Is Impossible To Save $25 (₦10,000) Daily Abroad by nigeriandream14: 7:38pm On Jul 21, 2021
It is impossible for someone earning $50,000 annually abroad to save $25 daily (Over $9,000 annually). Majority, if not all of western countries consider people making $50,000 as middle class. $25 dollars is just 10,000 naira daily. I believe most Nigerians with handwork can make that much comfortably daily. I am not trying to discourage anyone from traveling abroad, I just want us to have a rethink and see that Nigeria is not that bad as we portray it to be. Drivers, laborers, petty businesses etc all make over 10,000 daily. Forget the daily complain of hardship we read online daily. It is a Nigerian trait. Tens of millions of our citizens do actually make above 10,000 daily. What we need to do is cultivate the saving habits of our brothers who live in diaspora. Nigerians only learn how to save when they travel abroad. If we work on ourselves, saving a million naira annually won't be a problem. Thanks

For sure OP is disconnected from reality, we are talking of millions of people leaving below a dollar a day, with serious malnutrition and unemployment, OP is talking about saving undecided undecided

what a failed message! your above message makes NO DAMN SENSE!!!! you should compare exactly the same thing, but here you are saying that people abroad cannot SAVE 25$ per day but that Nigerians can comfortably EARN 25$ per day.

if you want to compare people abroad with Nigerians, then here is the important question you need to answer:
A) can common Nigerians SAVE 25$ daily (like you expect people abroad to do)?!?!
B) can people abroad make 25$ daily?!?!?

You're totally lost in limbo.

Truth is that if you have a good business in Nigeria, saving 10,000 isn't a big deal

Question is, how many people have good busines in Nigeria.

Personally I believe there's money to be made here in Nigeria and like he said,we Nigerians don't save well in Nigeria. You see a petty trader calling #100 "ordinary #100" meanwhile he profit in each sale isn't up to #10. So he spends #500 on drinks which is already the profits of many sales put together.

If you have any business and keep reinvesting your profits without going into capital expenditures like building a house or buying a car, you're on your way to being rich.

The difference between Nigeria and abroad is that they have a support system where you can get a house, good car and basic luxury without it being a financial burden on your business

If you check very well, the useless is not in Nigeria.

Many Nigerians who travel abroad are wicked. Chinese, Indians and Philippines help those at home to come over and make money. They encourage them and tell skills they should learn before coming over or even support during the process. But in Nigeria, the reverse is the case. The same hatred or wickedness, they still took it to abroa.
