• Jonathan Repeating Mistakes Of Gen. Aguiyi Ironsi In 1966, As Buhari/Boko Haram Zealots Plot To Kill Him—Reports

19 May 2012 written by Republic Report New York

New York [RR] ABUJA–New York [RR] New York—Exclusive bombshell revelation shows that the worsening security situation in the so-called Nigeria is pretty much worse than the 1966 crisis. Multiple sources reaching us indicate that Jonathan is repeating the same mistake made by late General Thomas Umunna-kwe Aguiyi-Ironsi in 1966 by surrounding himself with body-guards from Northern extraction. Our source said that Congress For Progressive Change (CPC) presidential Candidate and former military dictator, Mohammadu Buhari and his secretly supported Islamic fundamentalists terror group called Boko Haram is seriously plotting to kill Jonathan, intelligence sources disclosed to Republic Reporters, NYC.

It must be recalled that after 1966 coup, General Ironsi in Lagos and Ojukwu in the Kano mobilized the military to subdue the coup plotters. Shortly after Aguiyi-Ironsi surrounded himself by northern security Aides including JTY Danjuma against the warning from Odumegwu Ojukwu. Our source said Jonathan traveling around in these troubled location is no longer necessary, otherwise he will go the way of Aguiyi-Ironsi who was visiting western Nigerian at the time. If Jonathan wants to live, he should surround himself with Ijaw-Igbo security aides, or perish in the country’s widening crisis…”, it said.

Anonymous commentator said: “Jonathan and his team must plan for the rainy days; there must be plan B, plan C, plan D, plan E, including allowing SNC, Review of Aburi PACT, and disintegration, et al…”, reports added.

Meanwhile, another insider source knowledgeable with the security matters and bombings across the country said: “Buhari is in secret pact with Boko-Haram intended to make the country ungovernable since he cannot win any presidential election having tried three times 2003, 2007, 2011 respectively..”, the source said.

The source added: “Violent Buhari cannot win any election in Nigeria of today; it doesn’t matter if the election was rigged and/or free and fair, because Buhari and his supporters doesn’t have the infrastructure, forcing him to turn to violence and belligerency’.

“It must be recalled THISDAY was bombed because Buhari/Boko Haram and supporters think THISDAY is linked to influenced by the presidency during April 2011 presidential polls…as Thisday’s opinion poll gave Jonathan 63.6% and Buhari 25.9% toward the beginning of the presidential poll…”. This created enmity between THISDAY, CPC/Buhari till this day. In fact, our source said Buhari and their Sharia-Reporters/supporters are happy with THISDAY bombing couple of weeks ago.

It is important to state here and now to readers that this same Buhari has always been anti-press-freedom and freedom of speech. Sources said: “Buhari made a decree in 1983 and made a comment that all dogs found guilty will be punished…”. Afterwards one Bartholomew Owo’s case was revisited years after the crime he allegedly committed was discarded and set free from all alleged all charges, our source said. We gathered Buhari’s tribunal re-arrested him, found him guilty and sentenced to death, weeks later he was executed. But Buhari knew that Ibrahim Babangida was a drug trafficker but didn’t blink in any form to shape against IBB. IBB used drug-monies to buy brand-new Peugeot Cars to military officers to buy their loyalty; Buhari didn’t blink.

Curiously the same Buhari talks that election riggers should be lynched in pre-2011 presidential election, he equally made other inflammatory remarks similar to the aforementioned comment that is currently heating up the body politics. “The Dogs and Baboons will be soaked with blood come 2015..’. Commentators said indeed dogs and baboons including Buhari, Jonathan and others will be consumed in 2015 or even before it. Buhari and other political thieves in the country called Nigeria have failed in all ramifications, and as such will be retired again to the dust, they said.

Preye Douglas said: “”BLOODSHED” from a northerner is a CODED word for “MASSACRE” of Igbo people in the northern Nigeria. Boko Haram cannot venture in the Western Nigeria, whose governors cower to. They elected all Islamic governors and in constant close door meeting with the Sultan. ACN and CPC alliance is exposed. The next place they can venture is Eastern Region and Middle Belt. Buhari should know that he has judged himself by calling for bloodshed. Whose blood will be shed, it shall be his blood first, and he has called bloodshed for himself. As he asked for it so shall he get it.”, he said.

Perhaps our understanding is if he is actually referring to Bartholomew Owo’s tribe (NDI IGBO) or the southerners in general as dogs and Baboons. Shockingly the so-called Ohaneze-Ndi-Igbo, former President- General, Dr. Dozie Ikedife, said that Gen. Buhari was being unnecessarily vilified, noting that worse statements had been uttered by other people. This, he said, includes the “do or die” declaration by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

Former President of the Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo Ikedife said: “It is necessary that we speak the truth and face the fact. Buhari should be praised for having the courage to say it the way he saw it and to sound a note of caution. And I want us to take that note of caution seriously.

“It is important that we evaluate the message rather than kill the messenger. His words are not worse than the man who declared that ‘this election is do or die’. I think what Buhari is saying is ‘don’t win by hook or crook and that they should allow the opinion of Nigerians to prevail.

“Any person who faults that should tell us what he wants Nigeria to look like. It is absolutely necessary. If we want to entrench true and proper democracy, it should be one man, one vote. Every vote should count and be accounted for.”

Curiously, Ikedife does not see Buhari as desperate for anything other than his yearning “for a peaceful Nigeria where true democracy thrives. And he should not be vilified.” Meanwhile on record, former Kaduna State governor, Alhaji Balarabe Musa said: “The controversy is unnecessary for two reasons. First, what Buhari said is what every other Nigerian has been saying about the need for free and fair elections. But because Buhari is a former head of State, more people react to whatever he says.

“Secondly, even President Jonathan had, in the past, made statements with far greater security implication than what we just heard. If a president said all public institutions have collapsed, isn’t that a serious statement with greater security implication?

“With regards to Boko Haram, if the President said Boko Haram has infiltrated all government agencies including the Presidency, is that not of greater security risk?

“Buhari wanted us to be mindful of the implications of rigged elections. If people have forgotten, it was what led to the unrest in the South West and eventually, the coup of the First Republic in 1966. It was also what led to the coup of the Second Republic. So what is wrong in any Nigerian warning against the dangers of rigged elections?

“All I can say is that there is a sinister motive behind the interpretation given to Buhari’s warning by the Presidency and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). “Finally, if people like Buhari and the media, who know more than we know; should keep quiet, what will happen to Nigeria? Won’t the situation get worse?”

To the contrary though, the founder of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), Dr Fredrick Fasehun, as he said Buhari’s statement cannot be justified by any parameter. He accused the former military ruler of trying to cause the disintegration of Nigeria by carrying himself as if he were above the laws of the land. He cautioned him not to teach Nigerians how to disintegrate or dismembered.

“I personally believe that Buhari can’t be adjudged right by any parameter of reasoning. The statement is highly inflammatory and inciting,” he said.

“Buhari has continually carried himself as if he is above the laws of the land. That is why he says anything that comes to his mind without caring for the legal implication of such statements. In fact, I have been waiting for the security agencies to invite him and query him for such utterances that tend to teach Nigerians how to disintegrate.

“The other day he was invited to the Oputa Panel, but he refused to show up and nothing was done to him. Obasanjo, as the president of the country then, was there at the Oputa Panel. Nigeria is greater than him. He should not teach us how to disintegrate. This country will be handed over to the person who will hold it together in unity and peace. Winning elections cannot be by force of violence. He must know that.”

Former President General of Ijaw National Congress (INC) Prof. Kimse Okoko, described Buhari’s utterances as unstatesmanly….

He said: “It is rather unfortunate on the part of General Buhari that he could allow his emotion to becloud his sense of judgment. He has not behaved as a statesman, a former Head of State and a presidential candidate of a leading party in this country before.

“Already, there is too much bloodshed in the land. Of what need is his calling for more bloodshed. That statement is unstatesmanly. The truth of the matter is that Nigeria will not be ruled by anybody who is calling for bloodshed. He should be invited to explain whatever he meant. I don’t want to believe that he is already training an army somewhere that he would unleash on the country in 2015. It is a very unsavory statement.”

But Tim Onuigbo said: “Ndi IGBO should be very vigilant about those statements made because we are on our own. Stating that Boko haram is busy bombing and more than 75% of the victims are Ndi IGBO; Jonathan is busy talking nonsense; Patience is busy making grammatical….; PDP is busy planning how to rig 2015 election; Buhari is busy planning how to soak the dogs and the baboons with blood come 2015; Politicians are busy looting money; Police/Customs are busy collecting bribe; Kidnappers are busy kidnapping; Naira is busy declining and the country is busy collapsing…”, he said.

He advised Ndi Igbo to begin to think ahead for their territorial borders. “Ndi-Igbo should therefore be busy thinking on how to protect their territorial Boundaries come 2015”, he said. Nonetheless, we learnt the Federal government is planning to arrest Buhari and top shots of his supporters, but is monitoring the situation. Others say, the presidency is afraid of Buhari, others say Buhari is a spent force, dead wood, that needs be left alone to be soaked in his own “dogs and baboons bloodbath” predictions.
