The famine of Samaria: Nigeria's gradual descent into cannibalism

For those not familiar with the story of the famine in the land of Samaria, as written in the Holy Bible, Samaria was besieged by the army of Syria led by king Benhadad. Samaria was plunged into great famine and the cost of everything including staple food shot above the roof, beyond the reach of the average Samaritan.

I'm pretty sure this sounds like what Nigeria is currently going through. It is no news that everything has quadrupled in price and staple food is continually becoming too expensive for the man on the street to afford.
Families are suffering, hunger is at its all time high. Never have we had it this bad in this country, nothing seems affordable any more.

Borders have been closed and food import banned, herdsmen have sacked farmers from their farms and our currency devalued, thereby making export of the little available food more profitable than selling at our local markets.

Like in the case of Samaria, where women started killing their children for food, if nothing is done and quickly, cannibalism may soon sneak into Nigerian homes. The suffering is becoming too unbearable and people may soon start behaving like animals.

And yes just like the evil king Benhadad, our dear evil genius Buhari sits with his legs crossed toothpick in hand, picking his teeth, while those who's lives he promised to better, die of hunger and starvation. May God save Nigeria.
