They can only give him consular assistance when he is free or under bail which he can't have in the next 2yrs. If International communities will live like this there would be no peace on earth. He was offered consular assistance, but it is not obvious if DSS allowed him to sign the document.

The last time his lawyers spoke on this issue, they said DSS refused them giving the papers to him to sign, they DSS took the papers and returned it back to his lawyers unsigned by Kanu.

Consular Assistance does not mean invading Nigeria or circumventing Nigeria sovereignty or legal system, it simply means they will offer him legal counsel and wherewithal in his ongoing trial, which might include representation at certain stage if needed or required

dont be stupid, is it consular services Kanu needs at this time? Do you even know what Consular services is? do you know the UK government's position on dual nationals in their home country? Does his lawyer know if not why not because if he knew he would know there is nothing UK can do and consular services is BULLSHIT.
