Chelsea’s contract with the 22-year-old sensation is developing nicely, according to reports

Chelsea may not be able to sign Erling Haaland or Romelu Lukaku this summer, but their deal to sign Jules Kounde from Sevilla is developing.

Kounde has been linked with a number of clubs around Europe, with Tottenham Hotspur apparently agreeing to a deal with Sevilla before the player declined.

Chelsea’s effort to outsmart their London rival, however, appears to be working, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, who claims that discussions between the two teams are progressing well.

Negotiations are proceeding well, according to Romano, while nothing has been agreed upon, but Chelsea and Sevilla are working on it.

He pointed out that the transfer fee is particularly intriguing considering Kounde has a €80 million release clause.
