Forget the cost of the side Mirror. Owe conductor for bus change of 50 naira, you go understand as things be. Sometimes, if someone is responsible, Lets say he's responsible. The person in question is responsible. Even you, in your responsibility would zoom off.

As I was still finding the best way to express my anger , behold I found a letter on my windscreen from the offender .

Woow ! My anger vanished immediately, Do we still have people like this in this country? especially here in Lagos ? Such civil and responsible act is so rare and it worth emulation .

I had no option than to decline any form of offer from him, as he has shown extreme courtesy .

#3000 for a side mirror? It's either you are not aware of the price or you intentionally lied. I bought mine 2019 for #10000 for the pair so one is from #6k upward.

Nice. I still feel guilty of a similar occurrence. Back in 2011 in Benin city. I mistakenly hit a parked car in the bank while reversing. I left the scene unnoticed. I should have dropped a note like this but I didn't. I hope the owner forgives me. I think I will do some random give away for atonement.......

The price of the mirror makes no matter, a dishonest person will walk away, after all nobody saw him.

Am guilty of that....there was a day my elbow hit one side mirror, it pulled out. Wondering how it happened but found out alot of super glue was holding the side mirror initially. But I looked around and Waka because the owner was not there. I wouldn't know what to do anyway.

Yes, thoughtful, considerate and good people still exist in Naija, both men and women.

I often encounter such people on my way to work, at the supermarket, at my workplace, by the roadside with street traders and more....

The real shock for me is the continuous narrative on Nairaland, that there are no good girls and men OR the narrative that there are very few good men and women left.

I shake my head and wonder, if the good people I've encountered in the course of my life and daily activities are spirits, and not human beings like me.
