A video of a Nigerian masquerade attire and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ has gone viral.



The man who spoke in Igbo dialect urged passersby to accept Jesus into life. The man caught the attention of everyone in the area with the attire he wore which seemingly contradicts the message he was passing.

The Igbo view masquerades as spirits of their dead ancestors.

With the advent of Christianity, most Africans with the Igbo inclusive, have dumped their traditional beliefs in masquerades because Christianity says they are idolatry and evil.

This is what makes this video funny. For the masquerade is seen singing songs of psalms as well as preaching the word of God to the amusement of passers by.
