Data below shows how successive administrations contributed to Nigeria’s indebtedness and how the dollar fared in the years they ruled.

In summary and in my opinion, Buhari’s administration has been a wasted 8 years. Nigeria as a nation regressed.

They are borrowing to keep our unity! Any country we are indebted to won't see us disintegrate, the countries will join hands to keep Nigeria as one for the sake of thier money. The Chief Borrower in Command knows what he's doing.

Official rate as of March 2021. Look closely you will see the caveat with an asterisk.

Analysing the data........

OBASANJO.......2.4trn
Duration...........8years
Exchange rate.......116
Amount borrowed in $=21B

YAR'ADUA........6.17trn
Duration...........3years+
%increase in borrowing .....257%
Exchange rate.......156
Amount borrowed in $=40B
Projected %increase in borrowing in 6yrs=440%

GEJ....................12.19trn
Duration..........4years+
%increase in borrowing......198%
Exchange rate.......196
Amount borrowed in $=62B
Projected %increase in borrowing in 6yrs=261%

PMB...................26.9trn
Duration.............6years
%increase in borrowing....220%

Now, check the geometric patterns and be the judge

See the increment by both GEJ and Yar'adua within their short period on the seat.

** These figures are debatable. Importantly everything PMB borrowed for can be seen, the projects and infrastructures are there. Most of the cursed souls who praise criminals for a living all line up to connect their crumbs without asking where the crumbs came from.

PMB met a collapsing economy with low oil prices. He faced a Pdthives induced recession then a global pandemic which pushed the price of oil to historical lows.

GEJ had high oil prices but persisted in borrowing with little to show for. But the cursed souls think that every challenge we are facing appeared from nowhere.

The borrowing isn't the problem,

WHERE AND WHAT was the money used for?

I have personally not seen Development to the tune of 70 billion dollars in any place in this country.

If you've seen please correct me.

Well, all things being equal, they all have to be blamed.
The data suggests that borrowed funds(x) has a 2x constant tendency as new administration emerges. This is the problem that needs to be addressed; is it the population explosion?, Is it misplaced priorities from our government? or the lack of profound vision from our youth? Believe you me, if this trend keeps going and we fail to find the reason for 2x, the incoming regime will also deposit his/her 2x quarter to the chart.

Cable is playing fast a loose with dollar prices as usual, they convert loans borrowed in dollars to naira then present this idiotic analysis. Why didn't they put the Revenue generated let's for better context?

12trn debt ( increase of 6trn) under Jonathan is higher than 26trn debt (14trn increase) under Buhari in real value.

But there was virtually nothing long lasting achieved under Jonathan. The cheap imported rice and private jets or foreign vacation we financed with our oil income is all gone in less than 5 years.

But the rail will be running for the next 100 years, the roads, airports, seaports will still be serving Nigeria for the next several decades. Who get sense pass?
