Operatives of the Benue joint security patrol team code-named ‘Operation Zenda' have killed three suspected kidnappers and rescued Mrs Ann Unenge, wife of the State Commissioner for Land and Survey, Hon. Aondoaver Unenge Bernard, Newspremises reports.

Mrs Unenge was kidnapped around 6pm on Thursday, July 29, shortly after she returned from Daudu town, an outskirt where she went to visit her parents.

The kidnappers were neutralised during a fierce gun duel with men of Operation Zenda on Monday, August 2, while three other suspects allegedly escaped.

Congrats to her and kudos to the security team and the Governor who motivated them.

I wish the Baptist School students kidnapped in Kaduna and the Islamiyyah school in Niger state can be rescued like that. Also the FGC Yauri students.

So strange that hundreds of children are in the jungle and no one has been able to locate them. It's a tech driven world. The satellite, drones etc exist. Why can't these poor kids be rescued? It's really heartbreaking.
