5 students of FUTA were involved in an accident which occured yesterday along cathedral Bus-stop along Oba Adesina Road in Akure.

A 200L student identified as 9jaBazz has been confirmed Dead while 4 others are Badly injured and are currently receiving treatment under the intensive Care Unit (ICU).

According to reports from [url][/url], the 5 students were said to be coming back from a club which they had been on spirits (drinks) for hours and while returning to campus they were speeding at a very high velocity and crashed out uncontrollably.

The security operatives were said to have denied access to the students and attempt to call an ambulance was said to be futile as the ambulance department said ” there was no fuel in the bus”.

As at tuesday morning, have revealed that students have surrounded the South gate area of FUTA demanding “justice” for Daniel. also learnt that soldiers have been deployed to the protest ground to ensure peace and serenity.

The school authorities have released a Memo confirming the demise of her Student. In the memorandum signed by Mr Richard Arifalo, the school sends her heart felt wishes to Family and friends of the deceased.
