The Lead counsel of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, has come out to make a clarification that the British High Commissioner or any representative of the British High Commission has not visited his client yet, while still in detention of the State Secret-police the Department of State Service.
Ejiofor urged members of the public not to believe any falsehood being peddled on the internet to that effect.
He stated this in a statement titled “Clarification on falsehood being circulated over various social media platforms” on Friday.
“For your information, neither the British High Commissioner in Nigeria nor anyone representing/acting for them has visited Our Client – Mazi Nnamdi Kanu at DSS detention facility, where he is currently being held incommunicado. I can authoritatively confirm this position to you today.
“Stop believing the falsehood being dished out in the public space by mischief-makers. The purveyors of fake news have always been at it,” Ejiofor said.
