You Are The One Responsible For All Nigeria's Problems .... You by End123: 11:38am On Aug 08, 2021
In Nigeria there is an age long tradition of blaming the past for the present state of things. Some people blame the British for forging 3 different ethnic groups together, actually the British forged close to 60 Ethnic Groups into one Nation. China have 109 Ethnic Groups within one country. Some people blame the Military for interfering in Nigeria's democracy they say the Military introduced corruption when corruption and stealing is the age old negative side of human nature, look at children who steal that extra piece of meat from mothers pot or steal daddies groundnut or biscuit.
The past is always blamed, Shagari is blamed, Buhari is blamed, Babangida is blamed, Ernest Shonekan is blamed, Abacha is Blamed, Yaraduah is Blamed, Jonathan Goodluck is blamed , Buhari is blamed one again.
Yes Leaders Are to Blamed since they claim to be in charge, but in every System there are more entities than the leaders; these are Followers, Onlookers and Passersby. In terms of size percentage leadership is just on average 10% of the entire population, leadership is the President, Senate, Judiciary, Police ,Army and other arms of the civil service. While leadership takes up just 10% on average of the population we have 90% of the population in the Private Sector.
It is highly interesting that no one blames Nigeria's Religious Leaders for the corruption and decay in Nigeria's society. Some religious leaders destroy so many people's destinies by brain washing them " to give all that they have ( money ) to " God ".
Everyone is to be blamed for Nigeria's decay , from absentee parents who are never there to train and mold their children who become political touts, agberos, killer herdsmen, kidnappers, rapists, fraudsters, in Nigeria it is a rather lengthy list.
Charity and behavior starts at home why is nobody blaming parents for not developing their children ? Yes Nigerian leaders are to be blamed but we most blame others also. Is Buhari to come to every house in Nigeria to make sure children are well trained can't we do or duties anymore ? Buhari could influence Nigerian parents via radio or television on why better trained children are an asset to their parents, families, communities and the nation also.
Followership is a huge problem in Nigeria. The former CBN Governor Charles Soludo came up with a way to save Nigeria Billions of Naira and it was the Nigerian masses plus private sector elite that hated the plan. The plan was extremely simple, treat the Naira better so that it lasts longer so that less Naira is printed. It would have saved billions of Naira which might still have been mismanaged anyway. But it was a good plan. Stop dancing on Naira at parties where the brand new notes can get torn, dirty or stained. A Yoruba musician Mr. Ade said " spraying of money is our tradition ". The CBN Governor was trying to change a very bad tradition and so many of the supposed educated elite were against the plan. The plan was also do not squeeze Naira do not write on Naira. Perhaps our lack of love and respect for the Naira is one of the reasons the Naira is doing so badly against international currencies. It is so sad the way American men throw Dollars in the air on Strippers who dance on this money tearing some notes in the process. I have nothing against Strippers all I think about is money being treated well. Would anyone throw an iphones or Android phones in the air or sit on an iPhone 13 ? Is it not money that buys the things we like and love ? If money is the go between during a transaction should money not be treated well like what we want to buy ?
Charles Soludo did his best to save the Physically Naira, the Nigerian masses constantly betray the Naira by dancing on it at owambes.
What are you doing to save the Naira, do you use a wallet ? Have you stopped squeezing and throwing money at beggar's from your car ? When we start treating Money well we will start buying Made in Nigeria more because we have started to value Nigerian things.
Are we on " Nairaland " to make people happy or to abuse people like how people abuse the Naira ?
Let us look at ourselves and see what we can do for Ouselves, Families, loved Ones, Communiries and Nigeria, if your father is a drunkard and has left his senses inside a bottle of Ogogoro , a good son will fill the void by not imitating his fathers foolishness, he will man up and become the father to his younger siblings. Its the same thing with Nigeria , our leaders are far from ideal we all have to man up and face our destinies. Stop Blaming people and become your own leader.
All the talk of "this person is to blame ,that person is to blame " will not solve anything, someone has to do what no one wants to do _ Work. Remember Talk or Blame is Cheap _ Work Very Hard do not rely on any leader , political or religious

I remember in 1991 the Naira to Dollar was 1 - 1. Then under Abacha it was N7 to One Dollar. Under Abacha inflation did not occur for 3 years and the exchange rate did not move at all. Then Goodluck Jonathan era had it at N150 for close to a year before " Change " changed it. The Naira to Dollar today as I write this is in the region of N509 to N512 to An American Dollar. I don't want to check what the British Pound Sterling exchange rate is. Black market or Bank rate or Government approved rate the Naira has lost its value and people devalue it by dancing on it at Owambe parties. One would have thought the Covid 19 Pandemic would have taught some financial sense into people's heads but the way Lagosians are throwing parties we have gone back to Pre-corona virus times. Eko o Ni Baje.
