I totally agree with him. I have nothing against Christian clerics but one thing about them is that they always think that they have the solution to Nigeria's problems, until they enter the system. Once they're in, they start looking like lame ducks.

Changes in human history have almost always been effected by honest, loving and selfless men and women of faith. Not those who are prophets of their own bellies waiting for dirty gains of corruption in politics and economy in terms of tithes and thanksgivings while members of the body of Christ Jesus are being killed, decapitated, dispossessed of their land and sources of livelihood, ruled over by devils or totally wiped of existence by governments of terrorists. Martin Luther of the Protestant Church, Rev Martin Luther King of the USA, etc come to mind here. The Bible is replete with lots of examples. The best way to protect yourself is to get involved in the system that determines how you live, work or do business. It's not for evil gains but getting to fight in the ongoing cosmic good vs evil battle. Why should destines of born and unborn generations be left in the hands of packs of foxes, wild dogs and hyenas? Why should some be fattened like the oxen of Bashan by folding arms while genocides in various shades and forms are unleashed on 200 million people by only about 5 million? The Book of Esther shows what fasting and prayer can do when coupled with political involvement of people who genuinely fear God. It is ignorant, ungodly, sinful, criminal dereliction to watch on while evil beasts devour your flocks... you are not faithful shepherds by doing that.

(Yes, black American clerics get involved in politics, but that's the result of circumstance....sometimes a black cleric was the most educated and the person with the widest reach....and even then....most of them even then don't.)
