Why is it that it's the Doctors and the Lecturers that are always going on srike- I am not saying that is wrong but does that mean other workers in the country are satisfied with their condition of service?

Those two professions are intellectually driven, but the problem is - Nigeria does NOT value intellectuals! They'll rather spend money on entertainers! Lecturers and Doctors earn very paltry income in Nigeria, less than a tenth of what their counterparts in the global north (and in many other global south countries) earn! Apart from the miserable pay, the backlog of unpaid salaries is alarming! this backlog runs into several years in some cases!

Industries would rather support Wizkid or Olamide's Concert than fund research! A first-class (best graduating student) gets N5K, whereas BBN winner gets over N85mil! A country where Doctors working round the clock, even during the pandemic are paid N5k ($10)/ month as hazard allowance, whereas TV reality show artists and polithiefians are smiling to the bank!

#things have, indeed, fallen apart!
