We had high-end phones that had cool stuffz (FM transmitter, Nokia fans? Altimeters, thermometers, humidity and UV sensors on phones? Heart rate and blood oxygen, Samsung fans? IR blasters? AND EXPANDABLE MEMORY AND A HEADPHONE JACK, AND FOR CHRISSAKE, CHARGERS AND EARPHONES AND CASES IN THE BOX!). Where are they now?

The Politburo of Big Tech managed (quite skilfully because people are just dumb) to convince us that those things are pointless. And it's all thanks to you all, not Apple. If you'd voted with your collective wallets, stupid a**holes like Tim Cook would be DAMN BROKE! They said they removed them for better cameras. (Seriously? ) They said they wanted to add bigger batteries ( ). They said they wanted to slim the damn things (sure, like any of the popular flagshits are slim enough? ). Well, lemme tell you; THEY JUST MADE YOU ALL!

Why did crApple remove the headphone jack? Simple: to sell more crapPods. Why did Scamsung remove the blood oxygen, heart rate and UV sensors from their phones? Simpler: to sell more crapWatches. You can't compare a phone with a Photographer's camera..
If you want the best performance out of your phone,then use it without SD Cards..
That is one of the reasons high end devices don't come with one..
And no so called high quality SD card will leave your device unaffected,it will certainly make it worse.

For pure point-and-shoot photography and social networking and ease of use, phones beat DSLRs and DSLMs (mirrorless) hands down.

For serious photography, cinema creation, and stuff like studio photography, billboard and fashion magazine photos, sports and wildlife photography and run-and-gun cinematography (basically anything requiring editing and professional applications and workflows), then even the highest-end smartphone is to a DSLR/mirrorless as an agbero street tout is to five kung-fu artists with black belts- they will just slaughter him.

If you want the best performance out of your phone,then use it without SD Cards..
That is one of the reasons high end devices don't come with one..
And no so called high quality SD card will leave your device unaffected,it will certainly make it worse.

Oh, you're referring to those people who install apps and forward app data to microSD.

Sure, even the fastest UHS-II V90 card will still be killed by 'just' UFS 2.1 in Samsung's A51. But that don't mean nothing when you use SD cards the right way.

The 'right way' being that BIG FILES LIKE BACKUPS, PHOTOS, VIDEOS, MUSIC FILES, DOCUMENTS AND THE LIKE GO TO THE SD CARD; WHILE APP FILES AND APP DATA STAY IN THE PHONE'S STORAGE.

A PROPERLY RATED AND HIGH QUALITY MICROSD ( ORIGINAL Lexar, Samsung, Kingston, Adata and SanDisk) with the ratings A2 or A1 or V30 or V60 or V90, Class 10 U3* WILL NOT SLOW DOWN YOUR PHONE ONCE FORMATTED PROPERLY.

And if you think that SD cards are not reliable enough; then just go and watch on YouTube how they rate SD cards for durability against magnetism, shock damage, water, static and live electricity. And mind you, most reputable SD card manufacturers offer up to 5 YEARS WARRANTY against those things! Even your super-expensive phone doesn't get that much, including ''waterproof'' ones.

After all, do you always run software from your external HDD or USB always?
