"Three goalkeepers: “Right now, if I had to
name my first line-up, I’d pick Masip because
he’s the only one I know in depth and he’s a
great keeper. I have seen Ter Stegen and
Bravo in competition, but I don’t know them
very well on a personal level. But I’m sure
they’ll be good for us. I’ll need to see all three
before I make my decision, but there’s no
rush. We’re just happy to have three such top
quality goalkeepers”.

The same connection that handed Madrid its first win in Munich in its history! Our worst ever defeat at home. I'm starting to suspect Guardiola is a mole planted to destroy Bayern

Germany is known for consistency in major tournaments. You are obviously new to football hence your Guardiola megedefegede but I have news for you Mr Johnny come lately that since 1966 Germany has not gone 8 years without playing a Final of any major tournament

Which consistency? angry

The last time the Germans won a World Cup was 24 years ago... shocked grin --- Consistency my... angry grin

Mr. knowfootball, are you referring to West germany from the 60s or Germany? --- For your own information, this is the first World Cup trophy that a united called Germany won since it's Reunification on the 3rd of October, 1990... grin

How many World Cup did West Germany win? = 3 --- 1954 (20 years after) 1974 (16 years after) West Germany now Germany 1990 (24 years after) 2014

As for your every 8 years they got to the final myth! The last time Germany played in the finals was 12 years ago against Brazil, before that, it was another 12 years ago & on & on... grin tongue grin

Please, get your facts right! 8 years my... grin angry grin --- Please don't bring in Uefa Competitions, it is strictly World Cup... grin tongue grin

But, how come almost all our goalkeepers are short? since i started supporting Barcelona, i have not seen use use a tall goalkeeper (Pinto is not a GK to me o).

I would go with an experienced Bravo before Ter stegen, not to talk of Matip!

Honestly, A40 you are biased no doubt, the Pep you & dayo defend against Toba anytime he disagrees with Pep's style... tongue grin

I dey read comments oh, say I quiet no mean say I no know u oh... grin

Because your team failed to step up & play football, they were instead demolished & to think because of the team's record loss, you blame it on Pep is just as mean as saying Bayern achieved these records below without him... tongue embarassed

Bayern's records:

(1) Bayern have won the Bundesliga title with a record seven games to spare. The previous record was the six games left that Bayern won the title with last year.

(2) Bayern have won their last 10 away matches in the league. The old record was nine - again, set by them last season.

(3) Bayern Munich have won their last 19 games - a Bundesliga record. The previous record was 15, set by Bayern in 2005.
Bayern's 2013-14 Bundesliga record

(4) They have scored two goals or more in each of their last 19 wins - also a league record.

(5) This is Bayern Munich's 24th German (and West German) title, another record --- Pep's 1st season in charge.

(6) Bayern won 29 matches in the Bundesliga last season. The record is 29, set by them last year. Equaled a record in his 1st Season.

(7) Bayern Munich clinched the earliest league title in Bundesliga history. They took until 6 April to do it last year - the previous record.

(8.) Bayern's 27-game unbeaten run to start a Bundesliga season is also a record. Bayer Leverkusen's 24 at the start of 2009-10 was the old landmark.

(9) Bayern manager Pep Guardiola, appointed in the summer, has not lost in his first 27 matches in the Bundesliga. Kaiserslautern's Karl-Heinz Feldkamp (1978-79) had the old record with 14.

(10) Bayern Munich have not lost in 52 Bundesliga matches, a run going back to October 2012. Hamburg had the old record of 36 games unbeaten in 1982 and 1983.

(11) Games that shaped Bayern's season:
19 October 2013: Bayern 4-1 Mainz Having been held at Bayer Leverkusen the previous league game, Pep Guardiola's side came roaring back to crush Mainz. Little did their title rivals know at the time that this would be the start of a 19-match winning run that would catapult them to the title.

(12) 2 November 2013: Hoffenheim 1-2 Bayern: Bayern arrived at the Rhein-Neckar Arena trailing leaders Borussia Dortmund by two points in the table. They came from behind to win 2-1 to go one point clear. Bayern have stayed top ever since.

If anyone I mean anybody who says Pep is no good. shocked angry

--- You know one thing is sure, you don't appreciate good thing... angry

Honestly, who does all that in his 1st Season... cool

So at the end of the day, their winning dey tied to Barcelona. cheesy

Biased? I'm not the one that thinks Guardiola won Germany the World Cup.

I used to defend Guardiola till he started taking the piss and playing Lahm at DM even while Schweinsteiger and Martinez were fit! Playing with a suicidal highline and resorting to tactics that made Bayern unrecognizable from the previous all-conquering one!

Failed to step up? Anyone with functional eyes can see with the way Germany and Bayern players played at the just concluded World Cup that Guardiola's tactics were to blame! We saw how Robben destroyed Ramos and Casillas how Müller and Götze destroyed Pepe, Coentrao and Marcelo. Even Kroos that was toothless over both legs vs Madrid became Zidane vs both Portugal and Brazil

Meh! Between Dortmund being decimated by injuries and the sheer quality of this Bayern team even Felix Magath would have accomplished such feats! You think he was brought to dominate the league? Magath, Schaaf, Slomka woulda done that with this team

Pep has not yet delivered and I am not as happy as I was when he arrived

Mate you're attaching a lot of importance to a secondary objective.

Only a club run by some brainless muppets would prioritise a single clash ahead of laurels.

I'd rather lose to my arch-rivals and go ahead to clinch the title than to pummel 'em just to finish with nothing - to hell with pride.

Madrid were busy basking in the euphoria of their UCL and Copa del rey titles while you lot were licking your wounds. Did the El Classico triumphs in any way fetch you millions? cheesy

Your last question is the real reason both Barca and Madrid rake so much money from the league or TVs rights than the rest. El classico is the most watched club match in the world with several million viewers. That translates to alot you know!

Ever wondered why Platini has been wishing for a UCL El classico final?
