Nadal was selfish. His dad was seen motioning him to retire when he had that injury in the 2nd set against Fritz. He refused and played for another 3hrs plus.. What was he expecting??

First he conditioned Fritz mentality in the game. Playing against an opponent who is obviously injured, also affects the mentality of the player.

Of course, the injury was bound to get worse.

A Taylor Fritz vs Nick Krygios semi final would have been mouth-watering. But due to Nadal's selfishness, we have been denied of such game and Krygios gets a walkover to the final.

You're looking at the debt like a personal one. like if you owe so much you stop buying anything you don't really need and save till you pay off your debt and start over again. it makes sense on an individual level but in the corporate world especially in a competitive world like football doing this would lead to everything getting worse as Barca would find itself in a hole she can't dig herself out of. imagine Barca not qualifying for UCL for like 3 years straight. less revenue, sponsors won't renew contract and those that will sign would offer less money, less players willing to come, players already there who are good would like to leave and play in other teams and that's how you'd turn to a mediocre team and when/if you finally do get debt free you'd still have a long road back as players won't come running just because you're debt free and 7th in laliga

Right now we owe many players, many mediocre players combinations of wages and bonuses, players that are doing nothing for Barcelona. but because of the contracts they signed under bartomeu, we can't sack them else we have to pay them off and this is why we are looking for clubs that will take many of them on loan.
