INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY, A CALL FOR US TO REALIZE OUR YOUTHFULNESS.

I joined the youth across the world particularly Nigeria to celebrate the International youth Day 12th August 2021.

Today provide a moment of celebration and reflection on some of the most critical challenges facing the youth, and are associated with their development, in their respective communities.

Nigerian youth today are attached with religion, ethnic and political leaning to a point that we cannot longer speak the truth. Our education is becoming useless, Our moral in speaking to the power is disrespectful, Our greediness to acquire wealth by power by force is alarming, there is no longer moral rectitude, immorality has clothes us, ostentatious life become the order of the day, youth are directly affected by the tragic contradictions that prevail today.

Inspite these ugly pictures painted above, we can lead a global drive to break the patterns of the past and set the world on course to a more sustainable future.

Youth can deliver solutions on these issues by a view to building partnerships cutting across governments, private sector, youth groups and youth forums that will all advocate for youth inclusiveness in governance, public conversation on youth challenges with a specific focus on entrepreneurial and vocational skills development and financial assessment.

The future of every nation lies in the hand of it's youth, we the youth determine Nigeria as long as Nigeria determine us, we are the potential leaders of the country.

We must make up our minds to change our attitudes to become patriot, cue ourselves in to politics to make a change not to aggrandize public wealth for our personal use, shun sentiment, unite to fight our enemy "Corruption" in our minds, homes, schools, offices, churches and mosques.

Youth are the vanguard of the revolution and vehicle to change we are yearning for. Don't undermine urself, you can make a change by getting involved.

Amb. Manko Abdulkadir,
Wadata Ward Ambassador to
National Youth Council Of Nigeria (NYCN) Bida Chapter.
