Idiot bonny was an Igbo settlement, the king of bonny ( oko jumbo) was an Igbo man.

there was no way savages could have Igbo slaves.

Igbos only sold Igbos.
Only a foolish tribe will sell its own people, thereby weakening the sovereignty against attacks from enemy neighbors. Mumus the riverine people sold the people of the interior as slaves.

bonny was inhabited by both the Igbos and the ijos and he could have been owned by anyone. ijaws claim bonny island to be their's but the language spoken there today is visibly Igbo and still ruled by the Igbos tell me something?

[b] The kingdom comprising virgin lands and territorial areas, was founded before or about AD 1400. The founding group of the kingdom, who originated within the Isedani lineage of Kolokuma in the Ebeni-toru region (which is itself in the present day Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State), was led by four direct descendants of Ebeni. These were Ndoli, Opuamakuba, Alagbariye and Asimini. From these leaders and the entire founding generation of the kingdom evolved the lineage/ward/house system of governance that is currently used to administer the state. The“Amanyanabo”, or monarch (lit. owner of the land)wink, presided over a chieftaincy system composed of the "Ase-Alapu" (or high chiefs of royal blood) and the “Amadapu” (or district heads).

The four descendants of Ebeni became monarchs of the kingdom in turn, and are remembered today as its founding fathers. After their deaths, their own descendants ruled the kingdom as kings until the reign of King Awusa (alias Halliday) in the early modern era. It was after King Awusa Halliday, the twelfth king of the Bonny kingdom, that King Perekule I succeeded to the kingship. Since his reign, King Perekule's direct descendants have served as successors to the throne established by the founding generation of Bonny [b]

there is nothing like sentiments, bonny was ruled and inhabited by Igbos and both the ijos (oko jumbo dynasty was Igbo), to date the language spoken in bonny is Igbo.

The ijos only acted as middlemen for the Aros who shipped out slaves through their coast.

yes gatemen

ogogoro drinking oil-polluted rat, the slave trade was a Booming trade in the olden days I doubt ur empty black brains would have known that the white men also sold their fellow white men as slaves.

The ijo pigmies acted as middlemen for the aros. so there was no way a filth tribe like your with rich culture and history would have penetrated Igbo land for slaves.

when the Europeans came in contact with your people they referred to the ijos as savages. cheesy cheesy

Eboe means Igbo in Jamaica, even Rihana admitted she is Igbo not ijaw, the riverine people ijaws, efik, ibibio & other waterside people sold igbos of the interior as slaves. Why do you think ipob has so many sympathizers in the diaspora?, descendants of slaves. Read about the Igbo landing below Mumu you think I have time to argue with an Ignoramus?

For your information igbos were insignificant until Coal was first discovered in Nigeria in 1909 at the Udi Ridge in Enugu by a British mines engineer, Albert Kitson. Kitson had been prospecting for silver. By 1914, the year of Nigeria’s amalgamation, the first consignment of coal made its way to the United Kingdom from the newly created ports at Port Harcourt in present day Rivers State, even the Oyibos did not see anywhere in the interior to build a seaport, Keep deceiving yourself.

You must be high on some cheap stuffs. Insig what? European explorers came all the way just to study the Igbos from the 1700s to 1800s... Trips were made just for studies. Get yourself some education, open my thread on the empire of the Igbos with screenshot from studies from the 1700s.
While the Igbo man, Equiano Olaudah was in Europe selling out books on the Igbo history, most of you were in darkness.

Upon all the slave trade and selling of igbo people why is ijaw land so polluted, violent, poor and undeveloped today.

Absolutely nothing to show for the centuries of interacting with the europeans except for bowler hats and umbrellas grin. Lagos became a regional hub for trade and they maintained that level. But ijaw even their oyel sef na northerners wey dey own most of the wells. I don't think up to 20% of ijaw land has power supply.

Bonny didn't identify as Ijaw in that period..In fact, Bonny was called Umu-ubani..Bonny was a territory that heavily identified as Igbo territory, not Ijaw
Ubani/Bonny (English corrupted word) is Igbo right from inception until this day. The majority of the people living today in Bonny are Igbos and the language spoken in Bonny today is Igbo. Opobo Nkoro is the same. Both are Igbo territories.

Igboland has 20 times more oil reserves than Ijoland. Don't even compare. We have the largest gas reserve in Africa.

This is Historical revisionism..The Bonny indigenes before the Amalgamation of Nigeria in 1914 heavily identified as Igbo (Ubani) just as Opobo (Egwenga).
Bonny is politically Ijaw owing to Oil politics of the NIGER Delta .. Very soon, the old real history will surface..Take your Wikipedia false rewritten history to gutters where it belongs..I can even edit it now On wikipedia if I want to.. Wikipedia is not a fair source of Info

Opobo and Bonny known Formerly as Egwenga and Ubani were Igbo territories before the 1914...So many Historians noted this in Their history books.. Bonny and Opobo didn't at all claim Ijaw but Igbo.. Kalabari, Okrika, Bonny and Opobo are political Ijaw just as Eleme is politically Ogoni

Very foolish statement. The greatest slave dealer ever to exist in Nigeria MADAM TINUBU, who today has a square named after her in a very prime location on Lagos. Who did MADAM TINUBU sell as slaves? 100% Yoruba people she sold as slaves, even up to the early 20th century when slavery was banned by all sane countries.
