Popular Nigerian artiste Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun a.k.a Wizkid sang collaboration with Canadian artiste, Justin Bieber named ‘Essence’ and in barely twenty-three hours hit one million views on YouTube. The much awaited song was released on Friday, August 13, 2021 and it originally featured Nigerian songstress Tems.
Within 23 hours of its release, the remix has moved up to the 30th position on the US Apple music chart while it sits comfortably in the 21st position on Apple music’s global music chart.
Additionally, the song has amassed a million views on YouTube in less than a day, making it the fourth song to do that from the stables of Wizkid’s repertoire.
Wizkid has been going from glory to glory ever since he won the Grammy Awards with Beyonce earlier this year. His show billed to hold later in the year in the US has been sold out and he is already one of the biggest artistes in the planet.
