hammedkola:
The indigenous direct-to-home TV service provider (TStv), says it has reached an agreement with Strong Technology Ltd. to migrate its MyTV customers on SRT 497S-HEVC decoders to the TStv Africa pay-TV platform.

In a statement issued by the perception manager, TStv, Yemi Adebowale, who disclosed this on Thursday, said TStv offers 104 high-definition channels that duly equipped My TV viewers can start enjoying immediately.

So Tstv is the one behind scattering of MyTv! Those that watch TV hope you won't see another Vmobile, Econet, Celtel, Airtel etc

Does anyone have any details concerning Tstv I don't see their adverts any where and what about their TV subscription and free data use at same time.

their options are nice, you pay 1 or 2 naira per day to watch any channel you wish, you can also pause your subscription when you are not watching...

They are just good in other aspects except for sports for now

They're buying up another company, when they're yet to break into the market? Who the hell is the CEO of this company?

I suspect the CEO is a front for Multichoice.

Wow... I suppose this is good for Nigerians. They can now offer MyTV services alongside thier original plans. This must be the last card.

Buying a company that's already settled in the market is a strategy to break into the market. All MyTV users are now TStv subscribers. That's already a reasonable market share. Whatever extra features they're bringing on board can now be evangelized by the userbase
You're smart .

Don't waste your money. I bought one and I'm regretting that decision, their pictures (when stable) is great but the stability is the issue, one day on, two days off.... view turns slow motion sometimes or completely goes blank for hours. DSTV is still the best!

TStv is still a thing?

TStv offers 104 high-definition channels
Lies. DStv which existed since the early 90s has only 40 at the most. These people are claiming more. Nigerians deceiving each other. It reminds me of when Startimes first launched, claiming they possessed the same picture quality as DStv. Everywhere I saw someone using the service, it was obvious the picture displayed was highly inferior to the competition.

It’s funny how Nairalanders who claim to use the service have slowly resigned from lies. The company failed to plan so is obviously planning to…

I bought this decoder but I've been away from home for some time now. Somebody has hijacked my TsTV and switched it to CONSAT TV (Now Play TV).
Abeg, who dey use CONSAT TV?
Also, can I watch EPL, La Liga, Ligue 1, and Champions League on GoTV?
DSTV is too expensive

The guy is a genius.

Strong is a Free to air satellite system that people have been using for over 10yrs. Buying up there service in Nigeria makes TsTv acquire millions of their Nigerian customers who have not been paying a dime before.

Tstv subscriber base should challenge that of Gotv or DSTV, if the migration is completed seamlessly.

Google failed on video sharing with Google Videos. So they acquired YouTube, an establishment already doing well at video sharing. Now juxtapose!

1. Their station are not stable
2. Today they have migrated to nigcom sat tomorrow they have migrated to another satellite
3. Their station are something else, MTV base Australia, discovery velocity.
4. They operate with 4 transponders(tp) of which their is no consistency, either one of the tp is low on signal or one is down, sometimes all tp are down
Make I stop here

You sound like someone who has worked with them. These are things an average customer shouldn't/wouldn't know.

Tstv is doing great they have more than 70 HD channels and ability to choose your desire channels at N1 or N2 per day.

The only place that they needed to improve is sports especially football.

I never said you don't know what you are saying. I was just impressed with what you wrote down , that's all. Besides you will agree with me that not everyone who got the SMS even knows what NigcomSat is, talk more of repositioning a dish.
