I haven't used any. When I booted it last there were something like 200 left.

Options - device - advanced system settings - sim card

Follow this sequence and press and hold alt, then press mepd and press and hold alt, then press mep2 (when pressing all these nothing would appear on your screen.)
Let me know what is says about network and service provider, then MEP trials.

After I did that it shows:
Enter Network MEP code (255 left)

Under SIM card identity it shows:
SIMDisabled
NetworkActive
Network SubsetDisabled
Service ProviderDisabled

How come the phone continues to ask me for a code even though its locked? Wouldn't it just say 0 tries if the trials were exceeded? I just tried a series of random numbers and it went from 255 to 254. Will it just keep doing that no matter what I enter into there? I thought that since it said disabled for my sim that I was good to go, as long as it doesn't say blocked. Could I at least try a legit code to see what will happen? I've never tried to unlock it before today so I don't see how it could have exceeded its trials.

All blackberry devices has a 10 trial default set MEP unlock by code attempts. Some devices when this attempts has been exhausted, would either state blocked or active. If you kept entering random codes to your present device, it will continually count down.
The only network the phone would operate on @ the moment, is the network it was originally locked to, to use on an alternate network, it has to be reset.

Codes will not unlock 0 Mep's. You need www.bbrevive.com or www.hardlocked.com

I just got a new Blackberry 9700 from Russia and it was locked but I managed to unlock the phone for calls, txt messages but BB messenger only is not working the message appearing ( This application has been disabled by IT policy). Would you please guide me how to solve this problem. I have tried to reset to factory settings through CMD, also wiped the device and reinstall OS6 but still no luck .

All other features (Email, facebook, twitter etc) are working well except the BBM.
