seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.

many people will be asking pastors to bless them neglecting their main need which is salvation.

thou you may need to be rich, thou you may need to be favor, thou you many need heaven and earth but it is there in the scripture exhorting you to seek the kingdom of God and then if you have it, all other things innumerable shall be added unto you.

matthew 16:26
for what would a man gain if he got all the riches of this world, or what could a man gain if he win the whole world all to himself and loss his own soul?

brothers and sisters, what is as important as yourself? what is more important to you, than your own soul?

come to Jesus the saviour now that you still have the opportunity and privilledge, seek him now when the sun shine, for twilight shall come when even thou you'll search heaven and earth for him, you'll never see him.
now is the time for salvation

My own take salvation has nothing to do with blessing.

True that what the verse says but reality is another thing. Check what China have been doing to churches are they not blessed.
Maybe I miss understand what you mean by blessing.

True. But lots of successful people are not religious and not into crime. All I'm saying is that being blessed has nothing to do with salvation, God don't denail hardworking.

grin Yes they are but there are many many more eg, absence of evil, evil running away from you and your affairs, your plans always working out favourably, dodging traps set by your enemies etc.

As I said, many many more and money can never ever acquire these things.

The best is that they are asking to receive Him, but they never had Him.

And yes, they do deceive themselves to think that they have Him whereas they do not.

You have to be specific when talking of God's blessings since God already blessed all mankind in the beginning when He declared , " Be fruitful and multiply...", meaning that all men already have a blessing over them whether they believe in God or not. undecided

No Body Said That There Will Be No Blessing Outside Salvation, God Had Already Bless Each And Every One. And So Everybody Is Waiting For His Or Her Own Right Time. What The Post Is Talking About Is That You Need Salvation. Not To Tell Pastor To Bless You But To Listen To The Word Of God And Repent Unto Salvation

He, God, blessed every one of His creation, and so every human being on the planet carries that blessing wherever he goes and whatever he does until his death. undecided

The blessings God placed on those of the Old Covenant Law of Moses are even more specific than the first- Deuteronomy 28 vs 1 - 14 undecided

The blessings on those who are saved , according to John 3 vs 16 - 21 , is Eternal life. undecided

Whereas some of the blessings on those who go on to continually submit to and obey the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ are as detailed in Matthew 5 vs 1 -12. undecided

So you see, you need to be more specific when discussing blessings. undecided
