Banks in Abia, particularly Umuahia and Aba refused to open for normal business activities on Monday despite the suspension of the sit-at-home order earlier issued by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

The group had announced the suspension of the sit-at-home protest which was earlier announced as a mark of solidarity for its detained leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

The protest was fixed to take place on Mondays pending the release of Nnamdi Kanu who is currently standing trial over allegations bordering on incitement and secession.

Findings by ABN TV on Monday, however, revealed that banks in Umuahia the Abia state capital and Aba, the commercial center of the state did not open to customers.

When contacted, a top official of one of the first-generation banks located along Bank Road Umuahia said they were scared of possible attacks.

Nnamdi Kanu will be released by the APC northern faction before 2023 elections in order to gain the support of the south east, a considerable number of Nnamdi Kanu's supporters will because of that gesture vote for APC come 2023.

This I have seen.

That's very good, I call on all the banks to close indefinitely in the ipob terrorists' territory that is south east. If the ipob terrorists mean business let them suspend everything and stay at home until their useless dilector is out of the zoo prison

@op na u suspend am? I heard they have added Friday to the sit at home. IPOB is doing what they know how to do best, Federal government on the other hand is also doing what they know how to do best by feigning ignorance of the situation.

Ipob denying their members already.
They have told the sensible and hardworking igbos to deal with any swine trying to force them to stay at home and throwing away the food in their restaurants just as they did 2 weeks ago.
Burning people alive in vehicles, sensible people going about their daily business.
Pikin wey say him mama no go rest, himself no go ever sleep.
Y'all brainwashed swines ain't seen nothing yet!
No terrorists in any part of this nation will ever die well.
Brutal deaths await them all mofos.

In a world, where peace has become an illusion
manipulated & maintained by ideological differences
blood conflicts are driven by profit
war has become a business
a businness which thrives on the amount of weapons sold
and even death toll .

-no peace without war. Let’s be honest
