Tecno, a fast growing smartphone brand in Nigeria has decried the ‘China Phone’ public given appellation.

The Vice President of Tecno Group, Arif Chowdhury, said the “China Phone’ appellation has continued to dull the shine of the Tecno phones, hence haunts sales despite the organization’s efforts to meet the rising and varying needs of the nation’s phone users.

Mr. Chowdhury said this today in Lagos at the launch of the firm’s latest product.

Unfortunately, the brand has refused to move into the future, and keeps churning out substandard devices.

Hence they'll keep being referred to as "China".
