Remaining at PSG with Messi means the team will adopt short ball playing styles to accommodate Messi and that will be at the detriment of a pacy Mbappe. Madrid on the other hand plays long football when which Mbappe will enjoy. Club philosophies aside, he had always wanted to play for Real Madrid.

PSG is making the same mistakes Real Madrid of 2000s made—signing world class players who are aging. The buys are good and worth it but with more over 30s in the team, the project will see the club crashing within a year or two, no thanks to injury and limits.
