Gov. Hope Uzodimma is shouldering the Burden of Recklessness from Past Administrations

It is easy to argue that a new Government inherits assets and liabilities. While we accept that government is a continuum, by no means should any responsible administration accept without any form of recourse or examination the reckless actions deliberately done by previous administrations especially that of Rochas Okorocha that was characterized by serial abuse of power and zero Respect for court rulings.

The ensuing imbroglio in the state between Independent Petroleum marketers and the state government is another of the myriad problems created by Okorocha for the Imo State Government, and as at today, Imolites are bearing the brunt. This is wickedness and when we condemn the person of Okorocha and the style of his administration, it is from a broken heart.

Before you rush to condemn Gov. Hope Uzodimma and his administration probably from what you think, as not taking prompt action, it is expedient that we understand that there was no proper handover between the Ihedioha administration and that of Gov. Hope Uzodimma of which we know that such issues like this should have been tabled and if Imolites could align with Ihedioha on his claim that Okorocha did not handover anything to him then it is obvious that Gov. Hope Uzodimma did not catch the wind of this issue, at all.

Only recently, Gov. Hope Uzodimma had to appeal the judgement on the matter. Hence, both parties- State Government and Independent Petroleum marketers should as law abiding bodies allow the law to take its cause.

The sincerity of the State Government to stand by the ruling of the Appeal court, when it comes, is not in doubt, but it remains surprising why marketers could overnight take up the garb of judges to sit on own case through their action of shutting down filling stations in the state. An action that should be condemned by men of goodwill.

It has become clear why independent petroleum marketers in the state have decided to politicize the situation and to hold the state to ransom but as a responsible government, the 3R administration has rather resolved to continue to use every diplomatic and legal approach to call them to order as we are first, Imolites before our membership of any political party and because we understand the untold hardship their actions have brought upon imolites

This is time for Imolites to give the government all the needed support to overcome any and every attempt to cause chaos in Imo State.

Together we shall RECOVER Imo State!
