There are only four days left in the transfer window and they are set to be quiet for Manchester United.

A lack of player sales this summer means United have been unable to free up more room in the budget following their £116million outlay on Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, so no more arrivals are expected as a result before the August 31 deadline.


Thursday's big story was the Reds' rivals Manchester City's interest intensifying in former player Cristiano Ronaldo, though.

With Harry Kane staying at Tottenham this summer there is a chance that the Blues could attempt to bring Ronaldo to the Etihad in what would be a sensational move - the MEN understand the deal is certainly not off the table as it stands.
