abnot:Your submission & theory are wobble as they did not reflect the situation on ground. The Afghan Govt is corrupt just like we have in Nigeria at the moment. Most Afgans in Govt are very sympathetic to Taliban just like some Northern people in Nigeria do to BH. Let those of us in the South & Christians in the North just be vigilant as BH, ISWAS etc are already everywhere including Aso Rock Villa. Jonathan said so & now Rtd Naval Comandore Kunle Olawunmi had confirmed it recently. I don't believe that the Afgans prefer to be refugees in other countries but their hands are tight at the moment. Their President had even eloped as well. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Nothing would happen to them. All those Afghans are just immigrating for economic purposes and not for the fear of the so called Taliban. About 30million people are still living in Afghanistan, going about their normal businesses. Lets watch and see as things unfold in the future. Taliban have said that there wont be any retaliation. But mehn, Taliban are one of the most armed armies in the world right now. See how they have taken over all the ammunitions left behind by the Americans. See the caliber of the assault riffles they are carrying. Nigerian army are still carrying 1960 AK 47 to fight Boko Haram |

Modrov:Not necessarily but in the face of reality on ground, what can they do again? I mean the Afgans. Things are no longer at ease & the centre cannot hold again my brother. Just as what many people are now fearing could happen in Nigeria if care is not taken. The grave situation is staring us in the face & most Nigerians seem not getting it. I just hope that we shall not wake up one day to hear that BH has taken over all our military bases & Aso Rock Villa while Sharia has been pronounced everywhere in the country. I am not an alarmist my brother but a patriot & federal as I have lived & traveled all over Nigeria- West, East & North. Though I am a Christian but like most Nigerians I equally have Muslims as friends but not fanatical ones though. Thank you & remain blessed. 2 Likes 1 Share |

joefelin2345: You still are arguing for the Americans to come and babysit you and the Afghanis. Nigeria is in a mess because 1. You guys see goverment as a means of chopping money 2. You guys also seem to think that selling things whose prices we don't control is the road to a prosperous economy. 3. You guys only complain about injustice when your side is not in power. Change that, and we will get somewhere. Afghanistan is a mess for many of the same reasons. And it is time them Afghans decided if they want to live in the modern era or the era of backwardness. America and a host of ancient and modern empires have tried. Time for them to leave matter for Mathias 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Joysticks: Is Islam just existing? Islam is the existing for thousands of years, these groups are found in less than 10 20 years, if they're part of Islam, they should have been found in later years it shouldn't just be that they were found a few years ago. Where are most of these groups found after 9/11? Muslims about 1/4 of the entire population of the world, if Muslims are terrorist then no one should exist on Earth |

onuman:Well it seems you have a point there but it is already getting too late for Nigeria to do so. There appears to be suspicions everywhere-West, East & North. Most tribes don't trust one another again. Yoruba don't trust Ibos & vice versa. South South does not trust SE & vice versa. Even in the North, North East does not trust North West while North Central are suspicious of both NE & NW. The President refused to even take a cursory look at the Reports of various Confab including that if 2014 yet many are still crying about the need to sit round the table to discuss & renegotiate the possibility of our staying together as a Nation. So where do we go from here my brother? 2 Likes 1 Share |

D biggest issues with western countries is going about imposing western liberal values with insignificant investment in development, whilst maintaining limited liberal migration of an exploitative type. Selfishness at peak. |

Modrov:It seems you aren't really fighting against nepotism and mismanagement of the economy. You take a position of indifference by just doing right in what concerns you and not voting in both APC and PDP. Could it be that you know that changing the system on ground is near to impossible by an ordinary Nigerian? |

Modrov:If the reason for this reaction is to provoke me, you have failed woefully. You don't know me nether do I know you. There is therefore no basis for us to judge each other in this matter. I never advocated for America not to leave Afghanistan after investing Militarily & other wise for about 20 years in that country. The issue you first raised & which I responded to was that of Afgans trying by all means to leave their country for the Taliban Govt & my understanding/sympathy for them in the face of the prevalent situation over there. I equally posited that such could possibly occur in Nigeria should the country continue the way it is going. For your info, I have never being a politician or Civil Servant all my live. Therefore there is no basis for your rude & abusive tone in your response. I am a detribalized person born in the West, Schooled in the East & did my NYSC in the North at a time that I even had the opportunity to influence my posting to any of the SW States. This afforded me to understand to some extent the feeling s & suspicions of most tribes towards one another in Nigeria. I have been privileged to assist people from the six geographical zones one way or the other. While I am not claiming to be an Angel, I can at the same time tell you that that there were 7000 prophets in Israel that never bowed to Baal if you understand the Bible to that extent. I rest my case here & leave you with smile as smile surprises people. Good luck & have a blessed weekend. 1 Like 1 Share |

Jeromejnr: 1. Trump started the troop draw down... reversing the policy would actually mean staying. 2. It's OK, it's not everything America should be fighting. 3. Sure, that's politics... not as if Trump wasn't above blaming predecessors, and people he put into positions. Let the Afghans fight for their country; let the rest of Europe - and Nigeria too - put their troops in Afghanistan since they're so damn worried. |

zlantanfan: Guess who created this messy country in the first place? And who sent troops to starve people when one part wanted to go its own way? Who assassinated some of the best leaders in Africa who were seen as a threat to their continued subjugation of African economies? Who helped destabilize Northern Africa (especially Libya)? Who funded the Taliban/Muhajideen in Afghanistan and Pakistan in the 80s and 90s? Who makes all the weapons and accepts the money being used to purchase them? The answers do not include a single Muslim country. 1 Like |

The main difference between the US forces and the Taliban lies in the fact that US will fight them at their convenience while Talibans can go with barely empty stomach fighting. |

HellAnus: Lol. You have forgotten that those that took war to Afghanistan are Christians, they started this. You can blame Islam as much as you want, it doesn't change the fact Christian nations disturbed their peace. And don't forget, those Christians equally took that same war to Iraq under the pretence of stopping the use of WMD. Then, took that war to Libya, Syria. Killing millions of Muslims, leaving those countries in ruins and then giving rise to different militias with weapons flowing freely in. 1 Like |

Seeing one of those pictures, one sad thought came to my mind. How would I feel handing my dear son to a foreigner to be evacuated to an unknown land to keep him safe which ordinarily should be my duty? I hate war with a passion. |
