Of course almost every agile man especially in my environment, somewhere here in the South West Nigeria did all that necessary, got the Capital by all means and eventually ventured into farming at the inception of the raining season early March with a view to:
1. Tapping from the God given - mercy of nature and at last,

2. Increasing the value of our Naira by exporting to the Foreign countries some of the products we might have produced thereby solving the issue of economic crisis bedeviling our great country which has seen the prices of consumable goods been skyrocketed. But alas! All this seems to becoming a mirage owing to the fact that our Government talk more than they act.

History will never forgot that they vowed to turn our country to hub of agricultural exporting Nation but as at the time of writing this, we're yet to see their actions towards that.

One scenario was when a senior colleague in farming angrily withdrew his several loads of maize from the market last week and crazily turned to Father Christmas who was dashing everybody around maize while counting his loss. This incident made the rest of us in the area to conclude that we will rather leave it to either rot away on the stand or serve as foods for birds. Of course this actions will only increase suffering in the land but what do you people think we can do when we had already been forced to hit the wall, no penny to waste again.

I am however imploring the Government of Nigeria to save the country from the looming impending hunger (God forbid) by starting to buy all this products from the farmers now, preserve it and fulfil your promises. With these been done, we will be appreciating our farmers and encouraging them not to relent.
