Often times we spend so much time analyzing and evaluating the performance of the Federal government headed by the President. While this is completely in order, the federating units (States) and their heads (Governors) are unintentionally spared from our deep assessment and knocks hence, some of them perform poorly and are never scrutinized or given the required sticks.

This inadvertently emboldens those that are performing poorly because citizens eyes are not on them. This is a bad omen. In a federal system of government, governors have a very crucial and an important role in upscaling and driving development in their States.

In this short piece, I argue that it’s high we started tackling and assessing the performance of our governors and letting them understand that the economic growth and prosperity of Nigeria is not the exclusive responsibility of the President. Afterall, everyone in Nigeria lives and does their business in one State or another not forgetting the FCT.

With the next general election barely 2years away, can we all take a critical, impartial and deep assessment of the State governors where we reside or do our business.

It’s time to hold these governors accountable!!!

My own governor, Ortom samuel is a huge scam to Benue people!


All he does is run his mouth on every single issue and attack federal govt while trying to give excuses for his failure.

He has bought all the lands in makurdi and coverted same to his " Oracle Business"
