I never even read the article but the topic alone is enough to put me off.

All politicians do it, it is the same nonsense Biden and Boris are talking in America and britain about 6% growth, countries that have never seen 3% growth in decades are making noise because they are comparing the economies to the period when the global economy was in lockdown.

What surprises me is how this govt continues to lie to Nigerians in d face of all d suffering, high cost of "food items" , insecurities, worst economy , worst inflation index,since 1983-1984. Business r either running away, suffering or closing down. N they keep telling us lies to our face Nigerians deserve this.

Economy growth ke? When our inflation rate as at today is 17.38%, the man dey mad niii?

We are effectively a dollar economy. In the last year alone Naira has lost 20% of it's value so any economic growth is theoretical. like you said with inflation/devaluation the economy is likely worse than last year

in 2014 our GDP was $540B, today it is $448B and this foolish man is congratulating himself? I know Jonathan messed up the economy and Oil prices fell but the total value of the Oil industry to the Nigerian economy is less than $100B so let us even assume we lost the entire Oil industry and remove the $100B so he met a GDP of $446B. It means 6 years later he is celebrating an economy of $448B, i.e no growth in 6 years?

Even the writer (s) know how many times their conscience pricked them as they were putting this together. No farm in Oyo, Kwara,,Ogun, Ekiti, Edo because of herdsmen and kidnappers. Many SMEs can not cope with high cost of priduction and low patronage .How they get the figures?

And all existing companies in Nigeria have resorted to manufacturing Sachet products because most Nigerians can not afford the original sizes ( even Bailey's is in sachet now, including groudnut oil)

As many farmers including poultry had ran for their dear lives, the prices of feeds for poultry is even more than the price of the chickens.

What a failed govt!!!!
With dead policies and false achievements.
