Bandits have abducted students of a Secondary School in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

Details of the incident are still sketchy but the armed men were said to have broken into the school on Wednesday morning.

A resident of the community told our correspondent that the armed men stormed the school around 11:30am when the students were writing examination.

“They blocked the doors to the classrooms and asked the students to step out.”

“Some of the students managed to escape the assault by jumping out of classrooms through the windows to hide inside nearby sorghum plantations,” the resident said.

The number of the students kidnapped can not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report but the abducted female students tend outnumber the male ones because the school is mixed.

The development comes a few days after some students abducted in the state regained freedom.

The funny thing bout this rampant student abduction can be akin to when a car is totally dismantled normally you'd expect a replanting of most vital part which after waiting for 5years and no germination is noticed. there's every need for a farmer to tax some passengers that look alike

That's the situation of Nigeria atm

And the kidnappings of innocent school kids continue. I am disappointed at parents who are still sending their kids to school in these volatile areas of the country.

Our vulnerable school kids are now endangered species. Too bad. As usual the Iron condemn president will come with his banal statement of condemnation.
I believe they will be brought to book, based on bookkeeping things.

Also, these bandits can't be successful without help from locals.

Bandits have been invading schools, kidnapping students and nobody has sanctioned or invited Gumi their solicitor. But within 48hours they summoned Channels TV staff for interviewing a sitting Governor who is being sincere with information.

Kastina state banned some market in the state, what do you expect people to eat, this will lead to more hardship more bandit.

Kaduna state also banned some market, more hardship more bandit

Zamfara state also banned some market,

If you have been traveling to those states, even baby knows that those states need more security personnel than southern state.
