Political parties and civil organization groups are already making preparations for the highly anticipated presidential election in 2023. The election, which will take place in a few years time will determine who will succeed Nigeria’s current president, Muhammadu Buhari, at the end of his tenure. Of course, the battle will be more intense than the previous one, as political parties will be putting together new faces and experienced individuals who will compete against each other.

However, it is unclear where the two main political gladiators, the PDP and the APC, will zone their candidates from, as this is a crucial area where no mistakes can be made.

In my own perspective, the PDP could win the next presidential election if they zone their presidential ticket to the south and north. The reason for this is that these two regions account for the vast majority of people and votes.
