Some say he's giving em time to change from their wicked ways,but if they don't change then they die in their wickedness...Well,Satan grants prosperity also but it comes with a huge price that will suit only the wicked and mean in heart... Prosperity is of both ways,..Some prosper by grace,smart work,hard work, etc while some prosper via fetish things, sacrifices,deep occultic spiritual things,and devilment....(If there's a word like that though,lol).

Because is the most Gracious, most merciful and often forgiven. This world is not for the righteous but for sinners and the wicked. So they have to enjoy the temporal deceitful world. While they taste no rest in eternal hereafter.

1. Their continued existence ties in with active roles they have to play in the grand scheme of things, God's plans, God's purpose etc
2. They have fundamental human rights to continue to exist and be expressing themselves in accordance to their respective natures right until their expiration dates and they meet with the Grim Reaper

There is nothing like a wicked person. The person we usually term as being wicked is someone who God has a lot to teach us them.

Freedom of Choice or grace.

Over the years I have heard this statement by some people "God gives an evil person enough time and grace to repent from their evil ways, and that is why they live longer than good people".

I laugh

God did not give an evil person the grace to repent, it is freedom of choice that was given.

While grace is an underserved favor and unlimited assistance from God; freedom of choice is someone's autonomy to perform any action at all, usually chosen from two available options which is GOOD and BAD, unconstrained by external parties.

So, man has the freedom to live the kind of life he/she chose to.

The death of Christ on the cross brought many things with it; salvation, grace, freedom of choice, transformation etc...

Grace only made it possible that God will not strike an evil person dead when they commit evil, like in the days B.C, because of the death of Christ.

But we are reminded in Hebrews 9:27 that we All, both good and bad people, have an appointment with death and afterwards comes judgment.

Even if grace was given for an evil person to live longer and repent, that is not an excuse to continue living in sin and committing evil, because -
AT THE END OF THE RACE, THE MILES MUST BE COUNTED.

King Saul was not a wicked man, he wasn't evil. His only problem was he couldn't accept the fact that God chose another person David to be King instead of one of his own children, especially Jonathan. Other than that, Saul was a good person. Yes he made some mistakes like disobeying God's instructions of wiping out some nations, and consulting with necromancers to speak to the dead which is forbidden in Judaism, but Saul was not evil.

I don't believe in this theory. Is it not that same God in His word that says. "my thoughts for you are thoughts of good and not of evil to give you a hope and a future.

Yeah he is all knowing God, yes he knows the begining and the ending, God like to offer a chance yeah a good chance in case the person is willing to take it, yeah in the period of this wicked act that the person exhibits he will notice that there will be someone coming around to tell him that he should change from his evil ways, but it is left for that individual to choose between life and death.. yeah that is the chance that is given to sure person... Happy Sunday ..

The grace is sufficient for all. Provided you abide with the basic principles of life and follow through the blessings are assured. It's not dependent on your doctrine, or religion.

Patients is part of a Christian life, endurance.

There are laws governing the universe. Wicked and prosperity have different laws. Being creative, a giver, wealth conscious can lead to prosperity. Any man that thinks in such direction becomes prosperous whether he is good or not.
On the other hand, wickedness has its own universal law. Something that seems like wickedness to Mr A, may be something worth sharing testimony to the glory of God to Mr B. Who is the judge?
For example some religion behead people in the name of God. Even in the old testament in the Bible wars were waged against kingdoms who were considered non worshippers of Jehovah. And worshippers of Jehovah shouted to it as victory to God. While to the victims, these people are barbaric and probably terrible people.
If you pause for a while and think, you'll understand that there's nothing as good or bad but thinking makes it so.

It's the grace period of repentance.

Saul only depart from the ways of the lord and the lord too depart from him.
Considering the post, either be good or be evil and live long or mix both and your life be shorten.
David was a man behind God's heart but by continuing doing bad despite know how to please God, his kingdom was shorten and devided.
It pays to be good and pays to be evil depending who your are in his eye.

Ever since the fall of Man in the beginning, it became erroneous and somewhat ungodly measure the success of a man by how long he lived or the worldly things and possessions he acquired on Earth.

The best yardstick of success is God's approval and respect.

For instance, wicked Cain lived longer than Abel, but Abel was more successful than Cain because he was accepted by God but Cain was rejected.

Enoch who walked with God was said to have lived a shorter life than those who live longer in his day, but he was more successful than them, because he was accepted by God but those who lived longer were rejected. It was even said that God took him.

Jesus lived a short life on Earth, yet He's the most successful man that ever lived

As for riches or worldly possessions, the rich man was a monumental failure despite being rich, while the beggar Lazarus was a confirmed success despite being poor, because Lazarus was accepted by God while the rich man was rejected.

There's another rich man who God called "a fool", why, because he was rich but also a failure despite that he trusted in his riches, because he wasn't rich towards God.

Hence, Jesus warned us to beware of covetousness because the life of a man did not consist in the abundance of possessions he had. Luke 12:15

So the question itself is based on an erroneous assumption, because God sees things differently from the way the world or man sees them, so what you call prosperity and long life may be poverty and short life before God respectively.
