yes my inverter is 12v DC, but I'd doesn't hold power for up to 5min with only laptop load it goes off while the battery voltage is still at 13.1V

If the battery voltage is 13.1VDC as you said then something is not right with yourbattery.

Get a car battery to check if it your inverter will stays longer that 5mins as you said. toconfirm if the problem is from your battery.

Just like when a phone battery is bad, even at full charge will still shutdown the phone.
