Umahi: Why South-East People Still Obey IPOB’s Sit-At-Home Order by Mecka: 6:42pm On Sep 06, 2021
The Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi, has given reasons why people in the South-East still adhere to the sit-at-home order by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) despite its suspension.

According to Umahi, “it is a question of fear”.

He stated this while speaking with State House correspondents on Monday, following a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Umahi, however, warned that if the situation does not change, the economy of the South East will be affected.

The Governor said: “It is a question of fear. You know, the easiest thing to do is to carry a weapon and kill somebody, and that’s what happened in the past.

“And that’s why, you know, some people in the south- east are afraid of coming out.

So it’s not a question of compliance. It’s a question of fear.

“You’ll find out that no south-east man wants to miss a day of work. They like to work, they are into trade, commerce, and they want to earn their daily living.

“So this is something that the nation Nigeria must know. And it’s something that security agencies must know. Security agencies must know that they owe south-east people the duty to protect their lives and this is the reason why it appears that in some states, there is compliance to sit at home, even though like you said, IPOB has said it’s suspended.

“But it’s the worst thing to happen to the south-east because it will destroy the economy of the south-east.”

Lol
Mr Umahi let's analyse this "Fear"

After the pogrom of Northern Nigeria, Ndigbo returned to that same North, same place, same house. Where was the fear?

After taking over Igbo properties in PH and other parts of present say rivers state (abandoned property), Ndigbo still returned to the same PH and built more houses, clubs and hotels than before. Where was the fear?

After the Massacre of Obigbo by Wike, Ndigbo still trooped in. Where was the fear?

During the Second World War in Orlu that lasted months, even fighter jets and tanks were deployed, Ndigbo still traded at Night during the heat of the battles as if nothing is happening. Where was the fear?

You yourself threatened people that sat at home, threatened to lock their shops forever, sacked some but the sitting still continued. Where is the fear for you?

So now, you want us to believe that Ndigbo out of fear for someone in you peoples custody refused to come out of their houses. The same Ndigbo that went through all these things I listed above? What would we be afraid of again? Death or what?

Mr Umahi, lie with caution oh

Umahi lied as usual.

Let me elaborate:

I watched a Youtube video by "Flo" the Nigerian Igbo Youtuber who talks about food and finance.

This video was from last week. In that video, she was in a village market at Umunze called "New Nkwo market", and it was not even on a Monday sit at home day.
A local foodstuff seller was looking very angry and sad when Flo wanted to buy something from him and she asked him why he was looking angry, and the man said that he was very angry because "our leader Nnamdi Kanu is still in detention".
This was inside a VILLAGE AT UMUNZE ANAMBRA STATE, and it was not even a Monday o. shocked

The level of anger in the South East concerning Kanu's ordeal is seething and growing daily.
That anger is enough to destroy even the whole of West Africa should it erupt if anything happens to Kanu.
That is why people like Umahi should not be listened to. They have lost all legitimacy, and anyone listening to them is making a grave mistake.

Going by the logic of enemies of Biafra and Ipob.

Why are people still using lekki toll gate even after the massacre there during Endsars?

Why are there still people in northern nigeria where boko haram and bandits kidnap and kills daily?

I sit at home on mondays because of love for my father land not out of fear.

I am in onitsha since yesterday that's sunday, and today been monday the people are at home and on various joint enjoying themselves,no complian or any harassment from anyone.

But it baffles me when the people crying and complianing are those that claims that the sit at home doesn't affect them.

As for Gov Umahi,am glad he is humbled.

Umiah u know as an igbo man if IPOB try to enforce an unpopular opinion on igbos they would be driven out of igbos in 2 days

No man can force an igbo man to do what we don't want to do ...ipob is in line with the people's wish that's why they are winning the popular war

You are a good governor yes ,we love u for that ..but biafra is the ultimate

It would have been best for Imo State Governor to reschedule Buhari's visit to next Monday, at least the roads will be clear.

If anything happen to Nnamdi Kanu you start killing fellow Igbos and destroy their properties to show your useless anger on Buhari government not that you can take your anger to those who caged and killed your leader.

It shows failure on the side of Nigerian security agencies if they continually stay at home because of fear, it shows they have failed Igbos. The reason the sit at home still hold is because Nigerian army of terrorists have not devised a way to forcefully force them out of their homes on Mondays..
