with the rate it was expanding Oyo would have conquered and unified the entire Yoruba subgroups into one Yoruba federation if only the Europeans came a little bit late Oyo would have completed this task and the or westernized and educated ones will bring in modern democracy to replace the monarchial system..

The ancient igbos never wanted to the unified into one union due to their egalitarian nature ,so i expected that Benin empire would expand far into Igboland and unify the entire tribes in the lower Niger down into southern Cameroon or form an alliance, although this union may not last long because the fear of Igbo Domination in modern times will loom because they will be majority in population..

The major part of kogi, kwara and niger state should be included in the yoruba kingdom because they all trace their origin to yoruba ethnic group,

But I don't think your prediction of yoruba(OYO) expansion will not have continued due to the invasion of the fulani who where bigining to make successful gains on the empire

On the contrary
The Fulani's were at the verge of conquering Yoruba's , they were stopped by the colonists, those already conquered territories are still in the hands of fulani's in Kwara and Kogi

For the igbos, I believe the Arochukwu Confederacy would have conquered the entire east and southern Cameroon
