NCC must be the one to regulate the E- transmission, INEC is an employee of government so it should not dispute that

Inec is an independent organization, how do you think self, how I'd possible that NCC will interfere in e-transmission of results? Are they Inec officials? Instead of you to be demanding that NCC should provide requisite network necessary for doing so, you are here talking trash. If the govt can provide polling units in all the wards in Nigeria, they can as well provide network service.

I think there's a law or act that establishes the creation of INEC and how it should be run... I'm not sure... but if yes then NCC has no right or jurisdiction as to how INEC want to transmit election results. NCC can only file a motion or seek an injunction to stop INEC from doing that but INEC has the right to do as they so please. Unless perhaps INEC don't understand the power it has or those laws are just on paper and don't amount to shit!
That's the problem with the representatives at national assembly. Study the electoral acts and see where they can bring synergy between it and NCC for the good of the nation without infringing on each right but no, they just won't do so.

INEC website shows how Buhari benefitted from manual voting in 2015.Figures obtained from the website of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have confirmed the extent of manual voting in the 2015 presidential election.

According to a report on the commission’s website, the All Progressives Congress (APC) got most of the votes cast without bio-metric verification during the election. The report confirms an earlier analysis by TheCable on the voting statistics.

According to the report, 13,536,311 votes were cast manually during the 2015 presidential poll, represen-ting 42.6 percent of the 31,746,490 accredited voters.
Of that number, the INEC report showed 10,184,720 votes representing 75 percent of the total votes cast were from states won by Muhammadu Buhari, then presidential candidate of the APC, while 3,351,591 votes representing 25 percent came from states won by Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

INEC know only how to conduct election, they are not computer wizards that is why it's necessary to include those that know how to operate computer very well to prevent intrusion in to the server to avoid election fraud and that is the work of NCC

He's VP. He doesn't have any power...VPs are figure heads. When buiari transmitted power to him, he acted like the president, sacked the stackable. Buhari won't make that mistake again.

INEC insists on e-transmission of results without recourse to NCC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said it does not need the approval of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to transmit election results electronically.

It argued that the decision by the National Assembly to subject its constitutional power to conduct elections to the NCC was absolutely unconstitutional.

Recall that during the debate on Section 52(3) of the Electoral Amendment Act Bill (which deals with electronic transmission), by lawmakers, they had asked the electoral umpire to seek the approval of the NCC before going on with e-transmission of results.

Speaking at the Commission’s third quarterly meeting with media executives, yesterday, in Abuja, National Commissioner and Chairman, Electoral Operations & Logistics Committee, Prof. Okechukwu Ibeanu, said rather than seeking NCC’s approval, the electoral body has the constitutional mandate to impose duties on NCC to achieve the electronic transmission of results.
Ahhh
This is good oo...if INEC de reason like this

Osibanjo is part of the current administration, not there for the opposition party.
Lazy PDP should man up to their opposition role and stop looking for osibanjo to do their work for them.

I don't believe that Buhari will sign the E transmission of election results. The former senate President, saraki, had send the bill to Buhari to signed during the 2019 election.Buhari refused to sign it by giving irrelevant excused. He want the rigging in favour of his party in 2023.
Re: INEC Insists On E-Transmission Of Results Without Recourse To NCC by Cyberterror: 8:55am On Sep 08, 2021
Inec is joking. Let them transmit any result electronically without NCC approval and see courts nullify all those elections. Prof Ibeanu has been revealed to be Peter Obi's cousin. His agenda is already known.

Osinbajo is a Professor of Law.

What else do lecturers do apart from delivering lectures?

Yes, that's exactly what he has been doing.

Laws suppose not to favour anybody. Should the table turns, those opposing now will cry foul and vice versa. Matured and unbiased minds can see through the manipulations. Politicians create one party state by their actions and inactions.
We look helplessly when elected politicians are defecting from one party to the other because there is a large loophole in the law guiding this reckless move.

The only way he can speak out is if he resigned from this government. As long as he's still part of this cabinet, he can't go contrary to the will of his oga, the president.

What concerns NASS and NCC about how INEC transmitting result both electronically and manually?. It's a normal business process that an organisation should be free to adopt for itself.

Good. How else can they be truly independent. This back door method of controlling the elections is disgusting. More so, the sheer stupidity in putting such sensitive activities in the hands of an organisation headed by pantami.

INEC should have a private network for transmission.

Anybody who is not in conformity with the stand of INEC on this matter is an anti-democratic person. Why should an election result be transmitted manually when the electoral process is electronic?

so Osibanjo should dictate to NASS! is that possible constitutionally? so of you reason like fools. Buhari body odour indeed. is Buhari not also in charge of the INEC that is opposing the law? so one body odour is for NCC to give go ahead another is against it? the problem with you guys is that you've never experienced true democracy hence you see everything as coming from the executive when in actual fact the is a level playing field for everyone.
