Asking IPOB to join Nigeria politics is stupidity. These people asking IPOB to do this are the enemies of Ndigbo, they already know what the outcome would be, they want to ridicule Igbos. With the dysfunctional electoral system coupled with the comatose, money bag judiciary, these wolves in sheep clothing want IPOB to join Nigerian politics. They must think they are smart. Nigeria is not Europe or America.If America was Nigeria, Trump would still have been the president. We are talking about countries that have strong institutions, not Nigeria. Kanu's reply was that those who want IPOB to participate in the dirty world of Nigerian politics are those who want IPOB destroyed. He said said it was the case of a hunter who sets up a trap and is telling the animal he wants capture to enter the trap.

Kanu's reminded BBC Igbo that as popular as Ojukwu was, he was trounced in Senatorial elections in his own state in the 80's by a nobody, simply because Ojukwu did not want to rig elections like his opponents did.

Kanu's summation was that if Nigeria had a culture of free and fair elections, and was structured along along Regional lines like Britain, then a case could have been made for IPOB to become a political party, sieze power at the ballot, and move a motion for referendum in the Eastern Region just like the Scottish National Party did in Scotland

Unfortunately, Nigeria is far from being either a country that holds credible elections or being restructured.

I think Kanu was right, the last thing IPOB should do is go anywhere near the dirty world of Nigerian politics, it will be the end of them.
