Each time I enter a small bumpy road, I hear this sound coming out under my steering wheel...as if the steering column is shaking/vibrating. Pls house, what could be the cause? I have changed all front shock absorbers... tightened all that needs to be tightened as regards my front suspension system, yet this annoying, knocking sound won't go away. Any suggestion as to the cause of this noise? Thanks, guys... |

daddytime: Mine is like that too but the mechanic said i should prepare to change it..... Can't steering rack be repair? It's nt shorting oil just the smal noise on rough road |

It is not steering rack that is causing it. There is a bushings that holds the steering rack in place. It is the bushings that are broken and needs replacement and not the steering rack. I have changed it twice in my car. 1 Like |

Not steering rack. Which vehicle is this? You may be dealing with bad inner tie rods (the one mechanics call steering knuckle) |
