Hello all,

I just discovered that facebook has enabled sms chat capability to its website. This feature is powered by MTN & GLO. Don't forget also that Twitter notifications has been powered by AIRTEL for over a year now. I want to know why these companies cannot give out their sms gateway api so that Nigeria developers can develop sms applications free for the general public for use. In the US, most mobile networks have a free sms gateway api that most applications leverage on.

Please point me in the right direction

Its simple! Mtn and its cohorts are doing nothing if they are not ripping us off.

MTN South Africa is sms.co.za. Can't we get NCC to get it out of them. Is it not suppose to be a privilege? So annoying kiss

I gave up on them few years ago, and since then I have been using http://www.clickatell.com/ api. Their API is nice and fairly cheap.
