the only thing that save the idiotic southern Nigeria is the implementation of the land use act that put the power of land of each states in the control of Governors, if not this useless Buhari would have handover all southern Nigeria to his useless kinsmen

may Nigeria not see a foolish president as that cow again that's if the Nigeria will not still split because aboki will never allow progress in this country with antagonist against progress and support of backwardness

Rubbish. Last last, below is how i can simply illustrate this country.

SOCIALISM: You have two cows, and you give one to your neighbor.

COMMUNISM: You have two cows, the government takes both and gives you milk.

FASCISM: You have two cows, the government takes both and sells you milk.

NAZISM: You have two cows, the government takes them and kills you.

CAPITALISM: You have two cows, you sell one and buy a male. You multiply your cows and there is economic growth. You sell them, you retire and you live on your profits.

MODERN CAPITALISM: You have two cows, you sell one and buy a male. You multiply your cows and you buy those of your neighbors. The latter become your shepherds, you pay them in monkey currencies and they die poor.

AMERICAN SOCIETY: You have two cows, you sell one and you have to make the other one to produce milk like 4 cows. By dint of producing beyond her capacity, she dies. You take a consultant to understand this death.

FRENCH SOCIETY: You have two cows, you go on strike because you want a third.

GERMAN SOCIETY: You have two cows, you modify them so that they live 100 years, eat once a month and treat themselves.

CHINESE SOCIETY: You have two cows, you sell milk to your compatriots and you produce plastic milk to export to the rest of the world.

BLACK/ AFRICAN SOCIETY: You have two cows, you eat them all the same day and you dream that donors or the international community give you others. You turn to God and hope for miracle cattle. You fast 40 days and 40 nights without eating or drinking so that the cows will fall from heaven. At the end, you die in extreme poverty.

This is all i can say for nw.
YOU HAVE A LOT. THANK YOU.

NO.

Because Land Use Act 1978 vested the power of holding Land in Trust for the people of each state in the Governor.

Attempts will be made by Buhari through the national assembly to do just that but certainly, it will be the needed recipe for eventual break up of Nigeria. Constitutionally,Governors are the "owners" of all land in their respective states. Abuja has no control over the land in Osun or Anambra state and that's a fact.

Fulani people should go and sort out themselves in Guinea Conakry where Madinka people have chased them out ! We have no land to share with or give to them in the name of Ruga, farmers community, Livestock transformation or whatever; they are all parts of the disguised land grabbing expansionist agenda of the aliens from futa jalon.

In a sane clime, such overuling by the federal legislation is impossible, but trust our inefficient democracy to allow such a barbaric and dictatorial legislation.
If you don’t know something, it is best you keep silent, instead of exhibiting your ignorance to the world? Even the scripture says a fool when quiet is even thought to be clever.

In a sane climate as you assumed Federal jurisdiction always supersedes state jurisdiction, also in your country, section 4(5) of the Constitution of The Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (As Amended) says
(5) If any Law enacted by the House of Assembly of a State is inconsistent with any law validly made by the National Assembly, the law made by the National Assembly shall prevail, and that other Law shall, to the extent of the inconsistency, be void.

The national assembly cannot overrule it except by first amending the constitution to change the 1978 Land Use Act that empowers the governors as custodian of land. It's a tall order and will never work. So, who will they now put in charge of land in the whole of Nigeria? The man in Abuja? To control my ancestral land in Lagos or Ondo, and then hand it over to people of ethnic group as he wish? Expect an insurrection if the national assembly try that. People don't joke with their land.

Oga Senior Advocate on Nairaland, so the NASS will just wake up on day and enact a law to over-rule the anti-open grazinga by the respective state governments.

Are you aware that the Land Use Act of '79 or so vests the land right on the state governors? Are you telling the world that such a law by NASS to override the states' laws on anti-open grazing will scale through?

Do you think the state (mostly southern) governors will be sleeping while watching NASS making such a shameful law?

You need to study our laws and know that there are jurisdiction and boundaries.

Why are LASG and OYSG coming up with their own anti-graft laws? Why haven't FMoJ obscure and challenge such proposal in court?

All states are independent and are free to make any laws that suit them, so no national or whatever assembly can override their laws. it can only happen in dream and not in reality
