A group suspected to have been sponsored by government held a protest against the Indigenous People of Biafra at the National Assembly in Abuja.

The group of handful men and women were seen with placards with anti-IPOB boldly written on them. It was gathered that the protest was organized by one Chukwuka Ofoegbu popularly known as ‘ijelespeaks’.

Some of the placards read; “Say No to IPOB and their Terrorism”, “How is burning WAEC Examination materials going to give you Biafra?” etc.

The protesters also attacked Abia Senator, Enyinnaya Abaribe over his reported support for the group and its leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

Reacting to the protest,,Nigerians who were interviewedby irukkanews reporter said that everything about them had the hand of one governor or governors behind them.

They said that the protesters were after their own stomach and therefore ,not really serious with what they were doing.

According to Chike Maduka, governors in the south east have become paranoid with the influence of IPOB that they would be ready to spend their entire monthly allocation to reduce the influence.

He said that the test case of IPOB influence was the visit of Buhari, where the people of Imo chose to Obey IPOB Sit-At –Home- Order,instead of coming out to welcome the president.

His words ,“IPOB is now a quick way of making money in the South East. Just tell any of the governors that you have a formula to stop IPOB , he will bring money. It is what the protesters are cashing in. One governor in the south east must have given them money to organize the protest, or they have organized it on their own with the intention of going to collect money later. It is just a job, so don’t take them serious.”

In his contribution, Francis Onyeabor said that the protesters are nothing but hypocrites.
According to him, bandits are kidnapping and killing people on a daily basis and they have not done anything about it.

He called on Nigerians to ignore the protesters,because they are idle people looking for what to eat.
