The Nigerian entertainment industry happens to be one of the biggest globally, owing to the numerous talents that abound in the industry.

Aside from the many talents, the entertainment industry happens to be the most thriving industry that has seen individuals from different walks of life, as well as other career paths, make names for themselves.

It is also considered the most accommodating irrespective of gender, ethnicity, career, among others.

This article is focused on Nigerian celebrities in the entertainment industry who are lawyers.

1. Falz

This is the number one name that would come to the mind of every Nigerian who is conversant with the entertainment industry. Folarin Falana, better known by his stage name Falz is the son of Nigerian prominent lawyer and human rights activist Femi Falana.

Falz is a lawyer by career; he has, however, been able to build a name for himself in the entertainment industry as an artiste, comedian and actor.

2. Richard Mofe-Damiji RMD

Arguably one of Nigeria's most talented and veteran actors who has remained relevant in the industry till date.

For many who may not know, RMD had his first degree in theatre arts from the University of Benin. He would later attend the University of Lagos in 1997 to bag a law degree to fulfill his mother’s dream of becoming a lawyer. He was then called to the Nigerian Bar Association.

RMD being a lawyer has helped him in the popular series Castle and Castle.

3. Kanayo O. Kanayo

Veteran actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo was called to bar in September 2020. He had his Law degree from the University of Abuja.

4. Lepacious Bose

Her real name is Bose Osayemi; the comedienne studied law; she would, however, move to the entertainment industry.

5. Funke Akindele

Nollywood actress Funke Akindele is another favourite celebrity on our list; she happens to be among those that didn't pursue a career in law but delved into the entertainment industry.

6. Ebuka Obi-Uchedu

Popular TV host Ebuka Uchedu is popular for hosting the Big Brother Naija reality TV show, Rubbin Minds, among others.

He has a law degree from the University of Abuja.

7. Femi Adebayo

Nollywood actor, Femi Adebayo is one of the sons of veteran actor Adebayo Salami. He studied law at the University of Ilorin, Kwara and later bagged a Master of Arts (MA) Degree in Theatre Arts. The records revealed he practised law for some period before he ventured into the entertainment industry fully.
