World Peace Day: Amb. Oyibode Sues For Equity And Justice

As the world celebrates this year International Day of Peace, in line with the United Nation's Policy, a Chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) and Chief Executive Officer of Geotag Oil and Gas Limited, Chief Dr. (Amb.) Gabriel Chukwuma Etaoghenevwegba Oyibode (JP) has sued for equity and justice.

Amb. Oyibode made the statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Itodje Okiemute Godstime on Tuesday in Abuja, commemorating the World Peace Day Celebration.

Amb. Oyibode stressed that peace is a non negotiable factor for peaceful coexistence in Nigeria and the world at large.

In recovery from the loss of human lives and huge economic damages incurred by Covid 19 in 2020, our current world is still engulfed with too many unrests, conflicts, insecurities and upheavals. And these are as a result of dissatisfaction, selfish interest, maladministration and gross marginalization experienced by one group or the other.

As the UN General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, through observing 24 hours of non-violence and cease-fire, I urge the Federal, State and Local Governments to make equity and justice number one priority and apply cooperative method of conflict resolution in addressing the innumerable conflicts across every ethnic nationality or tribes in Nigeria.

I want you to know, that the building of our nation is every citizen's responsibility, therefore, every Nigeria must avoid any act of breaking law and order, and make meaningful contributions to the growth and development of our nation, Amb. Oyibode stated.
