How Secured Is My Personal Data After Repaired At Authorised Agent? by Opoki(m): 7:22am On Sep 24, 2021 |
My phone had a problem charging, I initially thought it was the USB chord which I changed but the problem still remains, I finally took the phone to an authorised agent for repair, since it's hardware issue, I was reluctant to give my access code but the receptionist insisted, he point was, it could be a virus infection so I gave the code. The phone was repaired, picked it up and I suspect some of my files might have been stolen. My observation: 1. USB debugging was turned on. I am 100% sure that I never use the feature and never turned it on. 2. I've been getting a warning each time I dial a call, more like an app wanted to record my call. Note: I strictly use the device for business and nothing more, I have peoples private information that might have been accessed and backup illegally hence my concern. Attached is the warning I keep getting. I've uninstall some applications I don't use nor installed but I felt there is more and resetting the phone is not an option. Any advice? 1 Like
