God bless you for this super response.

Let them go and fail against the North while Igbos watch them fool themselves because of their insatiable greed.

You guys are always dumb in politics. Is it today Southern politicians have been defeating Northern juggernauts?

Abiola did it against Tofa, though a minion. Obasanjo defeated the popular Buhari in 2003 and Jonathan did the same in 2011.

Nigeria is on another threshold and most other ethnic groups won't mind the ibos play themselves into deeper oblivion. It will only create opportunities for others.

Lol.. you are so daft to realise that the ethno-political milieu that existed in the nigerian politicosphere during the abiola days no longer exists now.

What was the threshold of ethno-religious nationalism in those days compared to today?

If you are so confident of defeating the North with your numbers and yoruba propaganda, why are you trying to get them exempt themselves from the political equation in 2023? Mugu! grin

Why didn't you contest the 2015 elections with all your acclaimed sophistication but rather hid behind the north against the rest of the south?

Why not ask APC to ceed the ticket to SW so that you face the North squarely in 2023 and see how that pans out? Do it and see yourself go back to your default opposition and propaganda merchandise, where you are sure to go into political oblivion so that others can fill your void. grin

What a dafturudeen feeling funky! grin

You mean Ekwueme the lunatic that was locked up for the looting by Shagari. ?! You foolish Igbos do really think highly of your bigoted self.

gwafaeziokwu:

grin

He just slammed you wicked history revisionists with hard facts and that's all the response you could come up with.

Igbos are tired of nation building. Let us follow other tribes and do the madness. You westerners lack shame. 8 yrs as president, another 8 years as vice and you still want to take another 8 years as president. Then somehow, you expect no response.

Show me just one yoruba politician that can untie the shoe lace of Alex Ekwueme as at the time he was denied the presidency in other to appease the Yorubas because of June 12.

Today, all we hear is that Igbos don't know how to play politics. Because we play the politics of live and let's live, justice, equity and fairness which are the core traditional Igbo republican values.

You guys should stop speaking grammar, go ahead with your ambition while Igbos go ahead with their right to selfdetermination. Nonsense!

OBJ was handed the presidency ON A PLATTER. yorubaman was OBJ campaigning and working hard for his election while in prison?

You yorubas always think you have a monopoly of craftiness and smartness.

The only time a yoruba man was ever elected to become president was when 200 tribes in Nigeria agreed to allow two yorubas contest on the two major parties in the spirit of fairness and equity to ensure a yorubaman emerges as president heads or tail. How many 'bridges' did OBJ build to merit the presidency, how many 'bridges' did your ethnic choice Olu Falae build to merit the presidency? None! So why are giving us a lecture on what you never practiced?

And it is noteworthy to mention that this happened after the yoruba OPC militia led by Gani Adams and Federick Fasehun had wrecked havoc on inhabitants of yorubaland, promoting violence and agitating to be assuaged over the MKO abiola june 12 saga.

Anyway, enough of the preaching. Since you don't believe in fairness and equity for the East, after asking and getting same in 1999.

Left for yorubas, the North and SW should relay the power baton between themselves while you mock Igbo and give stupid empty hypocritical lectures. You enjoy seeing Ndigbo suffer politically. It is now very clear. We have already told you what we are going to do.

If APC gives the SW the ticket, just get ready to face the North/East in PDP. The same propaganda campaign you are hoping to use against an Eastern candidate that you prefer to face at the polls will be deployed against you.

We are not fools.
yorubas are ready to face anybody,we have done it b4 n we will do it again.

It is u igbos tgat are scared to face yorubas,y don't u pray for pdp to field igbo candidate so u can face yoruba?

After fighting against June 12 tooth and nail, been used by Fulani to obtain court judgement to annual the election, it has not delivered the presidency you covet so much to any of you. Now it's a national holiday you must all observe whether you liked it or not.

You only wasted your time fighting it as it only produced another Yoruba as president and about to produce another one before any ibo can taste the position.

It's a pity you can't see the end result from the beginning, you just start striking without thinking. You believe thinking is cowardice right?

How do I start educating you? Yoruba youths are ignorant history wise. The only reason Abiola ever had a case was because a brave Igbo man, Humphrey Nwosu dared IBB, went underground and declared the full presidential election result. If he hadn't done so, the election would not have been ascribed to have taken place in the first place.

All you guys ever do is remember the side of history that lean towards your perpetual hate for Ndiigbo. You easily remember the few that went on a jamboree for few cash but easily forget the efforts of the likes of Chukwuemeka Ezeife who was among the founding member of NADECO.

It is a known fact that Igbos were vocal as pro democracy activist with formation of various anti military groups. Before NADECO was formed, he operated in a small group with former Anambra State Governor Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife, his Edo State counterpart, Chief John Oyegun and Dr. Doyin Okupe, former national secretary of the defunct National Republican Convention (NRC).

Hear this excerpt from Olusegun Osoba interview:

Osoba recalled: “The major organization that emerged in this period, which helped to shape the anti-military and pro-democracy movement, was the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO). NADECO was roughly a product of another organization, which existed before the June 12 crisis. This was the Committee for Unity and Understanding (CUU). The overriding motive of CUU was the campaign for power shift from the North to the South.

“It was started not long after the Babangida transition-to-civil-rule programme started. Founders and key members of the CUU included Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu, Chief Sam Mbakwe, Mr. Ayo Opadokun, Chief Edward Kobani, Chief Lulu Briggs, Commodore Ebitu Ukiwe, Alhaji Abdulazeez Ude, Ambassador Tanko Yusuf and General Theophilus Danjuma.

Other Yoruba groups joined the CUU immediately after the June 12 annulment and together they formed Nadeco. Below are the 49 signatories to Nadeco formation.

He said the 49 signatories to NADECO treaty were: Chief Michael Adekunle Ajasin, Mallam Lawal Dambazzau, Commodore Ebitu Ukiwe, Chief Anthony Enahoro, Major General Adeyinka Adebayo (rtd.), Chief Bola Ige, Commodore Dan Suleiman, Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife, Prof. Anya O. Anya, Col. Yohanna Madaki, Rev. Fr. Moses Adasu, Dr. Beko Ransome-Kuti, Rev. Tunji Adebiyi, Chief Ade Ojo, Chief Ralph Obioha, Chief Empire Kanu, Chief Michael Anyiam, Dr. Sola Soile, Vice Admiral Akin Aduwo, Chief E. Duru, Mr. Nick Dazzang, Mr. Labaran Maku, Dr. A. A. Akingba, Mr. Babas Eko Oyekanmi, Mr. Alex Ayatolla, Mrs. Sarah Jubril, and Alhaji Ganiyu Dawodu.
Others were Mr. O. P. Edodo, Mr. A. Barber, Otunba Olabiyi Durojaiye, Chief Olusegun Osoba, Chief John Odige-Oyegun, Prof. Bolaji Akinyemi, Alhaji Mohammed Siraj Hamza, Dr. Wahab Dosunmu, Otunba Aboyade Cole, Major General Olufemi Olutoye (rtd), Chief Sobo Sowemimo, Dr. Steve Achema, Chief Olaniwun Ajayi, Chief Olu Falae, Brigadier-General Jonah Jang, Chief Abraham Adesanya, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, Mr. Alao Aka-Bashorun, Mr. Emmanuel Njiwah, Chief Vincent Nwizugbo and Dr. Uma Eleazu."

Alex Ekwueme practically galvanised the formation of G34 from a smaller group he was leading and later G34 became PDP. Yet, he stood aside, accepted the abracadabra that happened in Jos convention and let an outsider in Obasanjo to clinch the presidency just to make the Yorubas feel sense of belonging. Yoruba man became a president under a party built and laboured for by an Igbo man.

Today, Yorubas have forgotten. All we hear is , "we fought for democracy while Igbos pitched tent with Abacha" as if other people were sleeping. Do you know how many Igbo journalists that went to jail because of June 12. Bloody ingrates that believe treachery is a form of political sophiscation. Sanusi was right afterall.

Like I said earlier, go on with your ambition, while we go ahead with our March to self determination. Period.

I have told you to stop wasting your time goading and blackmailing the East. E nor dey work.
If APC gives SW the ticket, PDP's ticket is going North with East backing them. That's sacrosanct. We no be mumu. No emotions here.

If we all want fairness and equity both tickets should be zoned to the East, so that yoruba presidency can come after that but if you want the game of numbers, you'll have to face North and the East. Shikena!
